I notice Eithad fare is cheaper than Emirates. I am debating, travelled with Eithad before, but tried Emirates recently last year and I loved it, enjoyed the flight, the food, entertainment, staff amazing.

Emirates on 777 BC is not on par with hardly any airline today anymore but charging very premium prices. A380 overall i s still nice for many reasons, but the 777 is a NOGO, no flat seats which is these days hardly not seen anymore except on some third world airlines. I now stop to fly Emi the risk on ending up on a 777 is to high. Usually I book them if 380 is on but it kept switching to 777 later, no more for me now. And the worst is their advertising which is the refurbished 777 where only 2or 3 are. You do not get what you thought you get….I go back to fly Turkish or Etihad

The thing about Emirates' business class on most 77Ws is that they are 2-3-2 abreast. Many passengers seem bothered that the middle bloc of seats features 3 of them. Plus they are not completely flat bed. Now Emirates is going for 1-2-1 on 77Ws but I would expect them not to be on flights to the likes of Manila.

I. Choose business class for one main reason. Every time I go cattle class and I am flying the 6000miles/ 12hr plus flight to China. I ALWAYS get some ignorant person who has to hog all the arm rest plus more. So I do not mind the extra cost. Plus the food is generally better.

Who has the time even on a 6-7 hr fight to scan through 3000+ films extra.

Etihad details for business class baggage was incorrect. I flew business class to Shanghai via Abu Dhabi on the 7th of Nov. 2024. The std business class ticket was 32kg baggage. This was on both legs. To get the 40kg baggage allowance, which I needed. I had to upgrade my ticket to “Business comfort”. This gives you the extra allowance. This was a £60 extra.

Prices also are different...Etihad business is much cheaper than A380 business class. I recently took a flight Madrid-Abu Dhabi in Business with Etihad, for 850 euros. Impossible to achieve with Emirates.
