I once owned an almost identical China blue saloon except mine was in lowly 'L' spec. With 3-speed autobox it was a bit lethargic, but a totally reliable motor nevertheless. Never let me down. Only thing that failed was the heater matrix (a very awkward job to replace). Good cars. Part-exchanged it for a Cavalier hatchback 1.8 GLS Auto. Just as reliable but much quicker.

No , they weren’t prone to rusting , Infact they were well protected and durable .., which is why so many survive . BTW , it’s a coupe not a coop !

This was my late mother-in-law's car. She was fastidious with maintenance and meticulous with record keeping. Pleased it went to a good home

Mine was exactly this model and I had it for eight years until the carb went rogue and Volvo quoted an amount I couldn’t afford so I traded it in for something pathetic like £200 for a Ford and deeply regret doing so even twenty five years later ! How much did you ask for your beauty ?

Timing belt, wax oiled, OEM period alloys and retro single DIN with bluetooth and it'll be perfect. Double wish bone makes these cars lovely to drive. Unfortunetly not ULEZ.

I know its low miles, but for peace of mind get the cambelt done if it hasnt been done already.

Not one modern European car could touch this for reliability. This thing would literally run rings round anything.

I do like wood used in cars on the interior and on the exterior but this Hustler takes the cake l have seen the 4 wheel Hustler reviewed on Furious Driving but how cool does it look with the six wheels and if you get a scratch on lt a bit of sand paper and varnish anc its fixed l 😊

I built a wooden car too. It wouldn’t have worked because i made the engine out of wood. I think i had a good joke about it but i completely forgot.
