Getting down to the last days of his special hunt, with Grampa watching over us Deirek was able to get in close to his bull while it was battling another across the countryside for the last hour of the day.....No chest thumping or dancing, or yelling in "glorious victory"; this was all about respect to the animal, the hunt, the experience, and the final result.......the emotions were priceless.

The last of the trail cam fun stuff. Hang-on until the end, had a real cool surprise!!!!

Getting toward the end of archery season, and the bulls are becoming more active. You can hear a couple of bulls "glunking" toward the beginning. ALSO, a couple of cool clips, including the bull Deirek takes the evening of the 27th; in a couple of moonlit clips a few nights earlier, as well as a couple the morning of this bulls last day.

While we're still up, here is #4. Keep the speakers turned on....just not too loud;p

Deirek drew a once-in-25 year elk tag this year, and it became an adventure non of us will ever forget! He will most likely be near 50 years old by the time he has the chance to experience anything like this hunt again. Preparation and scouting began in late-June, and you won't believe it, but......we hung several trail cameras 😂. Grampa was with us the entire time 💛. Here is round #1:

A little swimming pool in the hills. You may want to turn your speakers up at the 40 second mark.....

Found a little swimming hole in the woods; critters seem to enjoy it as well. Volume up, you may hear a little splashing and singing.
