The dad doesn't neglect his children. He's a great father trying to balance taking care of everyone. The kids have a great life and are loved. This scene just shows that he's human and everyone loses their temper sometimes. I prefer this version over the book, because no parent is perfect.

Literally the part where he threw the water on a Grease Fire let me ask you this do you know that you aren’t supposed to throw water on a grease fire why cause this fire has oil and if you throw water on it it will evaporate and make the fire bigger and strong.Cause? Water plus oil makes it a ugly face.

This was a great story and very underrated. The ambivalent reaction to this wonderful movie is just further proof that American audiences are getting mostly crap movies because that is what they want and deserve. Without any ridiculous special effects, our young people aren't interested. Sad.

The sad part is that they set up this awesome artificial intelligence with the White Queen, who is more about saving lives as opposed to the Red Queen's style of killing anything for the sake of the greater good, and they absolutely do NOTHING with this character going forward! Just imagine if they had taken RE5's (movie) story and had to go get the White Queen to combat the Red Queen. Artificial intelligence vs artificial intelligence. I would pay to see that fight!

Hate to say this, but the mother is absolutely right here. Your children come first, before anyone and everyone else. If he wanted to focus on his brother, well, he shouldn't have had a family at all. I understand that love between siblings is precious, but you can't have your own children suffer because of it.
