Acapella Solfège Hella Good at Berklee. These kids are in the required class during the five week which is basically ear training. Most of these kids from around the world are not singers, and only got my arrangement a couple of days ago.

Carnage On Baboosic Brook
Переглядів 2 тис.6 місяців тому
I've run this a few times, possibly had a first descent years ago in my kayak and canoe, but never this high. Frank has done it many times after clearing up some strainers, I made two stupid simple errors and got beat hard, still black and blue all over. Watch the carnage in 1080HD, which is what you're here for!

Had a great time in TN, and got 5 days of paddling in a row on various runs. The Little was the one we did twice, my third time ever. Watch in 1080HD!

Awesome first river of ALF 2024 for me. Wasn't feeling good the previous day, and into the morning of this run. After a trip into the woods, I was right as rain and suited up for the run. Great creek, fluffy level, great paddlers all around. Watch in 1080HD!

Watch in 1080HD! First inflatable run on the Upper Ash in Gilsum, NH. It was 1000cfs when we put on, but pouring rain and rising fast. Closer to 1200 by the end. By that evening it was 3000cfs!

Reimagined Paul Simon tune for my wife Corrina's 50th birthday. Tracked the drums, bass, vocals and percussion in about 2 hours that was free at PBS in Westwood, MA. Peter Kontrimas was the engineer. Had some pitchy moments in the vocals, but didn't have time to edit. Like jazz!

This is awesome!!
Wow. That is amazing. I grew up vacationing in that area. The house that use to sit at the top of the curve where you enter at was my dad's. IT has since been bought and replaced by the buyers.
Wow that's cool! Walker Brook is an amazing gem that is rarely run. I live more than 90min away, so it's always tricky to catch it. Thanks for watching!
🪅
Loved the show. Maybe I can catch one in my lifetime.
And you came back!
What time of the year is this
Yes, I was there to witness that barrel of fun. I'm the bloe kayaker in the shot. I thought to myself- "This guy is either very good or he's just f#@king nuts!!"
Thank you for posting. Glad you are ok. You showed how important it is to think through your options once on that wood. Throwing the paddle and moving left.
Good work getting away from that strainer. Looks like you had a good time despite the carnage. We're all between swims right?
Would have been shallow to roll in kayak. Maybe push off bottom. Otherwise looks fun😅
woulda been better in a kayak no doubt
Good job staying calm on the tree. Glad you made it out safe.
Boy, that part on the strainer? Dicey
Thanks for posting, what a day.
yikes! not fun. glad you're ok
Ensure your boat?
Ensure? Is that a fiber drink?
@@SoffermanPerspective IDK spell correct? Thank you for following up! I wanted to know the make of your boat.

Trolling?
What level was it at for this?
Great soundtrack! Looks like a lot of fun.
Nice team work there folks! Glad it went ok!😊 What are these boats called? I've never seen them before.
So this is Ain't Louie Fest. Thanks Andrew, and thanks for helping our hero Andrew!
Nice!
Looks like lots of fun with a good group of people Bill
Fun video of a fun day. Love the funky music.
I absolutely love this song, it's one of my favorites!;), which is also why Shrek the 2nd is one of my favorite movies!
Sounds more like a xylo than a marimba
My first OC-I run down the Dead (30 yr.old) was 1988. My last OC-I run down the Dead was 2018. In those 30 year's I probably have 35, 45+ or more trips down. I'm old now and have walked away from the WW road trip's. At some point in life, the desire, and the physical toll become equal, then unbalanced. Great video, I've taken many of my trip's down solo, (kinda foolish, but hey, I was at the top of my game then.) Through summer downpours with lightning, springtime snow and ice, and fall colors. I was lucky to have had Ed and Marie Webb still alive as they were the shuttle for the Dead and Webb's to this day is legendary in the Fork's. Got nothing left but memories and fireside stories left in me. Glad you were able to do it at 3500.
Amazing! Thanks so much for sharing your experience and wisdom. I hear ya on the aging element. Heading down to TN to canoe with the SE boys/gals.......up north, there are less and less open boaters, especially creek boaters. Thanks for checking out my maiden Maine voyage.
Omg...worst music ever for this video!!!....this is serious whitewater.!!!.....ever hear of a band named Motlley Crew!!!! 7:36 7:36
Seboomook is my favorite run!
Excellent.
Nice.
I just got myself a Quake Dagger for free from a person who got herself a kayak. I tried it first on a lake, it wasn't an easy ride. But as i felt, you can really rock that boat on a river. Do you still paddle it or you got tired and changed your boat?
I love it! LMK if you ever want to sell yours!
You're strapped to the raft???
hahahaha....exactly. be one with the rubber
How do you like the Quake? I’m buying one this week. Super excited!
Excellent choice of music for an excellent river
Weird fact is that after half a century of not being at this hill (I used to hang-glide there), I wrote this passage for a book a few minutes ago and couldn't quite remember the word Nashawtuc. Somehow I found your video, and you had left nine years earlier. Here's the passage I very weirdly was writing. Let's see if it fits here: Had he just slept the whole night? He peaked out along the open side of the canoe and on the far bank of the great river a shadow Memphis appeared. As he watched, shadow Memphis sank gradually into the water and was gone. Is there any better feeling than having slept well on rough ground? He remembered his dad asking that and it had always been Dep saying cheerfully: I think not. He was ready to whittle a paddle from a stick, but in what seemed like no time he found two paddles. One of them was barely broken and not broken at all where it mattered. Just the bit at the top of the shaft where the cross bit of the handle should have been. Dep whittled that smooth. The other paddle was more broken, but it would do as a backup. Dep could see the bank where he'd hauled the boat up the previous evening. What he hadn't seen was next to it a long slope of muddy ground reaching all the way to the river. Imagine if he'd gotten onto that in the darkness! From his perch forty feet above the river, Dep looked out at the same scene he'd seen last night, and now it all seemed tame, even placid. Without a backward glance he shoved the canoe sideways to the top of the mud slope at an angle and pushed. The bow dropped quickly, then the stern was pulled down. Toboggan! Hadn't he used his canoe a thousand times to toboggan down [x hill] in Concord? What could go wrong? As the canoe began to accelerate down the slope, Dep leaped in, sliding amidships and flattening his butt between his knees till his torso caught on the yoke thwart, his center of gravity as low as it could be without him actually lying down. He used his worst paddle to steer, keeping the bow angled towards the river. At the last moment he dropped the paddle into the boat and slid himself back till his lower back banged into the stern seat. Spray leaped from the bow which rose instantly, and at that moment Dep slid back amidships and got his knees under the yoke and rode out the moment. It turned out that what could go wrong sledding the banks of the Mississippi was nothing. And it got even better. After surfing a forty-foot wall of mud to get into the Mississippi, the actual Mississippi turned out to be a piece of cake.
For 38 years I’ve seen that stretch once/twice a year with low water and lots of rocks. I always thought it would be much more technical. This seemed like a fun level. Wished I lived closer to answer THE call when the water comes up. I’d love to join your band. Unfortunately I limit my piano ambitions to ‘flatwater on ponds’ out of ear shot! I mean the band of paddlers
600 was fantastic!! thanks a bunch for clearing the wood.
Nothing like a Dead /Kennebec weekend .
Yeah but that was on class 1 and 2 riffles.
I just love youtube trolling!
We’re do you launch from and finish
I'd love to pick your brain about that river, is there a way I could reach you? Great video!
Looks so fun
I read somewhere that that offside stroke will not get you on a wave.
I’m dying to kayak this part of the river!
MAGA
Yeah. Great stuff.
Thanks for checking it out!
Nice Vid - the face POV is great. I would say the upper is a Tech III
Fabulous!
Thanks Brooke, think this is gonna be perfect for me. On our way home from the Press Room Tuesday nite jazz jam. So much fun. Such talent!
Hey Brooke! You guys played a tune at the Purple Pit this past weekend that I particularly enjoyed. Eyes half closed? Eyes half shut? Who has an instrumental version on line? TIA
Thanks for coming. Eyes Half Shut. Here's the only one I could find online, but I will double check spotify and apple music. This one is from a Jordan Hall show with my quintet years ago.
