Chris, I really love and respect you as an artist and how you never come across as being full of yourself. I’m sorry but I don’t think you have a clue about what is happening in an everyday persons life. You are the face of the biggest active band in the world and have been experiencing fame and all that comes with it for over 20 yrs now. Let me say that everything you and Coldplay have achieved is well deserved and took loads of talent, hard work and sacrifices. But take a moment and look at your phone and scroll through the list of contacts. That is the world you live in everyday, Yes, we all live on the same planet but you are a world away from the everyday normality that is most people’s life.

I want to do a better interview than this, ask real questions about the incredible spiritual passion that drives Chris Martin and Coldplay, the inspiration in all their work and all their lyrics, their incredibly creative videos, and the spark that sets Coldplay apart from any other band in the world.

The interviewer is an asshole.

This interviewer is shocking....he is not listening at all and obviously hasn't done any homework on the actual people who.make up coldplay and their personalities and what their priorities are in music and life and what they stand for. They are not there for the "professional critics" but for their fans and themselves. This guy is so dismissive. Awful.

I love Chris Martin but fucking hell the interviewer needs to stop interrupting him.

I feel sad and emotional listening to him about his young years in a boys' school and in a very religious family, he doesn't want to complain and make a fuss about it but we do feel he has suffered 😢 He is a wonderful lovely very gifted human being and singer. Don't like much the interviewer but Chris has been able to make his answers sound deep and interesting. Thank you for sharing.

HEY! Every time X & Y is criticised but I love this album. It was really exciting when it came out (still is). Also when you used to do the live intro countdown screen at your big concerts. Learn to love X & Y Chris Martin.

The thing about gay thing part - Chris is a Pisces and naturally Pisces has a feminine energy inside them so for the man, it can be weird to find masculine energy within themselves, specially in this world how man is perceived by others and how "should" act in certain situations. If any Pisces man understand own energy and accept as it is, will never sabotage himself regardless of who is around. Acceptance of your own energy is the key and Pisces are caring kindness beings - just accept it!

Michael Jackson used to say the same thing when asked where or how he writes/creates music - saying it comes naturally and that he's only being used to allow that gift to make its way through. Such a beautiful thing! ✨

Ugh, Jann Martin.... old people don't listen to new music? Maybe because you are living in the past and just don't get progression. Chris Martin was very gracious in this interview, and Jann missed so many opportunities to explore what makes Chris tick. But at least Jann could get in how Bruce Springsteen knew his name. Jann, why not send me your top 10 Rolling Stone Magizines so I can acquaint myself with your work..... how incredibly condescending.
