I’ve had mine for a few months. My maintenance so far has included a filter change every 2 weeks (good to rinse the filter under a hose after every couple of uses), adding a small amount of Aquarius spa clarifier weekly and run the massage jets for a few mins to mix it in. Other than that, add a mini tab of chlorine weekly or when used up, and top or drain some water depending on the weather (lots of sun or rain). It’s useful to buy a small skimming net to skim off any leaves or bugs that get in, I tend to leave my spa filter and heater running at 95f. I turn it off occasionally if it’s very warm out. Planning to drain and stow away after the start of fall and start up again in late spring. May be expensive to run during the winter. Likely to lose heat quickly. Always keep the top cover on when not in use. Helps conserve heat and keep bugs and debris out . Enjoy your Saluspa.

Most activities are on the Grand Memories side. The activities team are more active there. Ping Pong, volleyball, non motorized water activities like kayaks, pedal boats and catamarans. There is a tennis court also. There are also the pools, and a fitness room. I believe they have aerobics at one of the pools.

Yes they do provide beach towels. If they are not in your room, you can request them from reception. There is also a place for beach towel exchange.

There is a safe in the room. I didn’t encounter any issues with theft while there.

Hi Steven. That’s a good question. My wife also has some issues with walking and that was a concern for us. However, I was there to help her. We were initially given a 3rd floor room and asked for ground floor instead. You will probably need to do the same, as there are no elevators in the Sanctuary buildings. We didn’t use the pool at Sanctuary because we were mainly at the beach, but my wife commented on inadequate pool railings. There is a step down to the Flavors restaurant and Rumba bar. I also needed to help there because there was no wall rail. There is a ramp across between Sanctuary and Grand Memories to give access to the beach. Then it is a short walk right to Sanctuary Beach. They were building the same type of ramp at the Sanctuary beach area next to the Sanctuary beach bar during our stay. This will be more convenient. Golf carts are on site and they can be requested at Sanctuary reception. It is easiest to call from your room for them, however we did hear some guests complain about their room phones not working. A driver will come but you may need to wait a while. This is most useful if you want to use facilities at Grand Memories like restaurants, the theatre, shops, etc. Overall, Cuba is probably a bit behind on special access needs. The resorts could all benefit from more railings etc. Hope this helps with your vacation planning.
