Obrigado pela música. Vocês são. Formidáveis. Cada jazz melhor que o outro. 👍👍😎😎💯
Robin is definitely one of the best washbord players if not "the" best.
❤
Great singing Greg....every day is a wonderful day, but after listening to you and Tuba Skinny do this song, today is gonna be "Some Sweet Day" Thank You!!!
I love Tuba Skinny.
Aaah, such a nice fun melody. And in every second one feels the fun of Tuba Skinny! Love it!
My favorite band! Craig needs to stop painting his legs gloss white! Ha-ha. Max getting better and better on the banjo! And Shaye's smile! Wonderful.
Absolutely blooming marvelous!, Many thanks for posting
Great to hear and see this. Was really hoping to have got to see them on this tour, but life gets in the way, bah! The rhythm on the banjo here is lovely ❤️😊
👍👍👍💪💪💪🇮🇹
Who wrote and arranged it? This post modern jazz at its finest.

You just gotta love 'em all.
As an 83 year old widower living alone I have just come home from a ride on my electric bike and switched on this video of my favourite band and as always you guys have lifted my spirits...thank you David McCabe Dublin ireland

Dile a sahye cohn que nós malacostumbra porque primero nós muestra sus preciosas piernas y ahora trae un vestido de monja
Many thanks, Waldschratt. This tune - a standard 12-bar blues played here in the key of E flat - originated in 1930 with The Mississippi Sheiks. There's quite a lot for fans of Shaye's signals to admire, for example, at 02:27, telling Craig to keep going and play a 'trading fours' chorus with her; at 02:42, the 'mouth' signal telling Greg to resume singing; at 03:19, telling Todd to take a chorus; at 01:33 and at 03:35 the twirling cornet to indicate she wants a full ensemble chorus. Tuba Skinny are fond of Mississippi Sheiks numbers: for example, they also play 'Tell Me To Do Right', 'That's It', 'Too Long', 'Fingering With Your Fingers', 'He Calls That Religion', 'Honey Babe, Let The Deal Go Down', 'I've Got Blood In My Eyes For You' and 'Loose Like That'. They have enough material to play a complete Mississippi Sheiks Tribute Concert!
Thank you Pops Coffee. I think I heard that at the very beginning of the piece, after Shaye calls for attention with a few notes of the cornet, she shouts "e flat". Shaye was in very good mood that evening, leading the band with ease and joy of playing. It never ceases to amaze me with how much joy and virtuosity the band members play music together and how empathetically and unselfishly they support each other.
So right, Waldschratt! You make the point very well - 'joy and virtuosity', 'empathetic' and 'unselfish'. By the way, those 'few notes on the cornet' are not any old notes to 'call for attention': they are Bb, Eb, G and the higher Bb respectively; in other words, the chord of E flat, in which the tune is to be played. She nearly always establishes the key in that way before they start. On this occasion, as you noticed, she quietly said 'E flat' as well.
Thank you Pops Coffee, that is a very interesting hint for me. I've been learning to play the piano for a year now, so I'm also studying music theory. I already thought that these are not random sequences of notes that Shaye plays at the beginning of each piece. But I am not (yet) able to recognise the key and the chords freely. That's why your comments on the jazz videos of Tuba Skinny and co. are so interesting to me. I practice regularly, but it's a long way....
Keep up the good work with the piano! I have a keyboard which I can't play well but I have spent a few minutes every day since the start of Covid trying to work out and play the simpler jazz tunes. I am improving slowly. It's a wonderful hobby and has made me learn more about chords and their importance. As for those notes Shaye plays before the tune, I made a video on the subject a few weeks ago: ua-cam.com/video/eRqljIeSd5g/v-deo.html .
Sousaphone is awesome..🎵🎵
Fantastic! I love this guys.
Thank you, Waldschratt. 'Chalmette Sunset', this lovely 24-bar reverie in A flat, was composed in 2020 by Barnabus Jones. It is also on the band's 2022 Album 'Magnolia Stroll'.
Barnabus' excellent composition ... so soulful ... BRAVO Tuba Skinny !! Danke, Waldschratt
Immer wieder ein Genuß Chalmette Sunset. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Vielen Dank für neue Videos aus Diersbach. Die Akkustik ist excellent. Man kann Greg wunderbar hören. Tolle Solos Von Shaye, Barnabus und Craig und Todd. Liebe Grüße aus Berlin.👋
One of their really good songs. Greg singing into the mic clearly is great. Too many times, I have not been able to hear the lyrics.
The most interesting WHEEL-CHAIR I ever saw ...:-)))))
Good for Barnabus! Very pleasant to the ear.
great stuff!
A new TS fav.
the sound came out pretty good for a little video from the side. I like it when I can make out all the instruments at the same time.
There ar some numbers that stand out from the rest. This was one of those Loved the vocal (woulda to hear Erik sing it too..)
Heck, even their "sound check" sounds great! 😉
You guys are great! I collect old records, you have the sound right. Trombone player reminds me of Miff Mole, just terrific.
Not two great parts - Craigs and Robins solos - but three! The short slightly atonal "intermezzo" (at 1:26) was one of the best of those humorous tidbits that Skinny Tuba is so great at. So tight. So well timed. So surprising. And oh so funny!
They're all wizards, but the lad on the clarinet is brilliant.
The Skinny at its finest...Heck Ya.!!!
Thank you Waldschratt ! I salute the artistic respect that Tuba Skinny shows here, as so often, for the original recording ... BRAVO BRAVO !!
Thanks Pops Coffee, I count the bars and try to find out the a-a-b-a structure, as you have discribed in your new video.
