I worked in Banff Alberta Canada. And at the Banff Spring Hotel, there is a wall with all the scene they shot inside the hotel. i must say. if you watched the movie and walk the hotel .... you feel like the two twins will pop up. Awesome video. bravo
@@Ablackie1976 oh, I’d love to visit Banff one day!!! Thanks for watching!
I strongly disagree about the witch dungeon museum. Also, make sure to go to sea level and order the chowder fries and key lime pie! lol. I just saw you recommended it!
@@gojewla their food was so delicious! I still dream about that crabcake!
@ have you tried their seafood casserole? It’s quite good. They have great oysters, and last time I went there, I ordered an “angry calamari pizza”. It was totally not what I expected, but it was obscenely good!

So like $9k to rent a used RV for 21 days plus food. No way does it make sense for a poor man like myself. You can probably rent a huge minivan from Enterprise and van life it for way less.
@@USAWILL That sounds like a fun way to travel too!

@@denofearthundertheeverlast5138 Sounds like a good time!
Great video!! I just don't think renting an RV is cost effective or convenient.
You mentioned something about checking out the discount travel website. Where is the link or reference to it?
We used TripAdvisor
Have you shared if you’re homeschoolers? I love how much you travel. (We are homeschoolers trying to figure out finances for more travel.)
@@kb8990 We are not but I have lots of friends who are! We just prioritize traveling in our budget 😊 Here’s a few things I do to cut down cost… use the Hopper app for flights. It’ll tell you if the cost is high or low and tells you when to book. When searching for hotels, I always look for hotels with free parking and free breakfast. I use Gas Buddy for gas on road trips. Our 3rd child makes a bed on the floor of our hotel room so we fit in one room. Happy travels! It’s so much fun showing our kids the world!

@ that’s awesome!
Hell no! this is such a massive hassle. Way too many inflated expenses and headaches in planning. Definitely not worth it for the average person/family. she's definitely done a great job with this video. Not knocking her at all. But it sounds to me like she spent roughly $20k on a 23 day trip. Insanity. Unless you have endless cashflow. This just doesn't sound practical to me at all. For 20 grand you can BUY your own used RV in excellent condition. Yikes. My son and I take cross country road trips every summer. We camp everywhere we stop. 2016 Subaru Outback. Lifted and modified for serious off roading and overlanding. We can sleep in the rooftop tent, in the car that has been modified with a built-in bed, or one of two different tents we take with us. We travel approximately 8K miles each trip and lasts between 14-21 days. We spend our money on fuel and the finest food. We visit National Parks and Forests, stay on BLM land and an occasional hotel to take a decompression break. We've never spent more than $4k on any of our epic trips. I just can't rationalize spending 5 times that amount for the option of having a toilet and a stove while driving. We'll pee in the woods and cook with fire, like nature intended. Pass.
Your trips with your son sound amazing! What great memories you’re making with him. That’s awesome you two get that opportunity every summer!
What hotel did you guys stay in? Or which would you recommend?
@@LucyG55 We’ve stayed at a few different hotels. I usually use the Hilton app and choose one that has free breakfast and is close to Michigan Ave. The last time we stayed at the Embassy Suites on North State St.

This was actually a really well done video. Thanks!
Thank you so much!
on so many of these types of vids.. I'm always amazed by how much time is spent visiting eateries... is this what your YT audiences want to see or just what people mostly do these days?? Seriously, I really want to know. I traveled often before becoming a parent and planning on doing the same now that I'm an "empty nester". So I view these vids to preview places I want to visit. The constant focus on food -- is very shocking to me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ nice vid... nonetheless.. 🙏
@@lunaticprophet You gotta eat! Might as well make it a fun and delicious place!

you can visit the inside of old town hall if you see the cry innocent play. Sadly only the outside of old townhall out side is in the film the dancing occurs on stage in California. There are some other places like the pirate museum that kids would probably like in Salem. pioneer village and fort Sewall might be a couple other locations they wouldn't be bored at 😂. There's also a arcade in Salem and even a castle outside Salem in Gloucester Hammond castle.
@@aequitasvox2488 Sounds fun!
I've never been to fort Sewall and pioneer village but on my list for next time. I'm happy you visited proctors ledge in Danvers many visitors miss out. There's a lot you missed out on but you did see a lot of what Salem has to offer. There's so many restaurants its hard to choose sometimes The ugly mug and Dotty's were ranked the same as gulu gulu, Both are awesome. Caramel and good night fatty's are some of the best sweet treat places in Salem. I have to agree the witch museum was good, If you liked that Cry innocent play inside the old town hall, the Peabody Essex museum and witch house, the house of the 7 gables and the parsonage were awesome and a must. If you want to visit a castle outside of Salem but still in MA in Gloucester MA there is Hammond Castle. Its worth the trip. If you ever visit again There are definitely other fun and note worthy bars and places worthwhile. I recommend another trip if you can. I've visited multiple times for me it took about 10-12 days relaxed and planned total to get just about everything covered. I still find places i missed out on 😂. Good luck on future visits. I do recommend the trolley, and summertime. Still spooky fun but no lines and laid back.
@@aequitasvox2488 I’d love to go back and spend more time there! Thanks for the suggestions!!
