This an impromptu run at this song. The guitarist vocalist is Don Kinsey from Bob Marley’s band. also PeterTosh and his own band the Kinsey Report. Rough vid but you get the relevance.

Today (Feb 28) is my late Father's birthday. He was 10 minutes from being a Leap Year baby. Incredibly talented, he was a boxer, Marine Corp pilot, an inventor for Hughes Tool Company and a very good musician and vocalist. Late in his life, my brother Rex (his namesake) and I realized there were no recordings of him singing. Just him and our friend, Robert Skiles on keys. We then got our musici...

Love you Malford ❤️
Jeez, how ripped was I?
❤ throbbing 😢
Lightning in a bottle, thanks Malford
It's so sad. Malford used to be the best vocalist in the entire world and his voice was just absolutely miraculous. And now it sounds really shot out very airy and he doesn't sound at all like he once did he doesn't have the power and the range and the clarity it's really sad to see somebody ruin their voice like that. When he was with storyville he was just so amazing
Kenny Wayne ..... che schifezza
Also check out Archangels and Storyville
Holy Smokes!... Layton, Shannon, Sexton, Shepherd, and Milligan... ??!! Wow... Incredible mix!
I saw this song played @ Hampton beach ,NH ,this may be from that show as Double trouble opened for KWS ,and what a great show it was, he also sang Skyscraper
Is the whole concert available?
No. This is all that was kept.
@@lonbozarth bummer.

I saw Tommy’s lips singing with Milford. I ❤️ they so much! I love ❤️ seeing Tommy and Whipper singing with Milford. It’s heart warming.
Tommy wrote this song about Stevie Ray. But you might know this.
@@ronniedurie7752 I did not know it. Thank you for sharing. I saw Whippers lips moving too. Did Double Trouble write this song? I love this thought. It makes sense. 💙❤️
@@tonyahammond3865 On the Album Double Trouble were I lot of ones that they had played with contributed to the album of playing the song. But Susan Tedeschi sung that song on the album. But Tommy Shannon wrote the song about Stevie Ray. A very heart touching song for sure. Thanks for keep the Blues alive and loving it!
@@tonyahammond3865 Yes Tommy wrote' Sky Cry' about the loss of Stevie Ray!. But it was first sung by Malford Milligan when they were all formed to be Storyville. Then when Chris Layton and Tommy Shannon did their album" Double Trouble" with the other singers and guitarist Susan Tedeschi sung it on that album. Its a must have Album for sure!
@@ronniedurie7752 thank you for the information. Double Trouble is my favorite band. I will look for the album
I'm not sure there is anybody more ELECTRIFYING than Malford.
Glenn Hughes comes close in my opinion...I wonder if they know about each other?
What a great catch and save. The crew was very good.
truly awesome
Damn, love that nasty growly sound from that Danelectro. I still own my 50 year old Sears Silvertone for the same reason. You just don't get that from new guitars
I am in shock. I would pay a small ransom for any and all footage of this show. This was my second concert and I can see me and my dad.
Hello, I'm from Santa Fe, Argentina. Do you know where can I find your records? thank you very much for sharing this show
Alejandro - Se puede encontrar sus CDs en línea, supongo. Él grabó cinco con su grupo bajo su nombre. Tristemente, Stephen se falleció en 2009.
@@tokaidude gracias!
I used to hang out at Record Town, a Fort Worth record store owned by Stephen's father, Sumter Bruton, and it was there I first met Stephen. Later, in 1976, I was working at Musicland in Northeast Mall, and I accompanied a friend who sold a telecaster guitar to Stephen who was then playing guitar for Kris Kristofferson. Stephen casually mentioned that his band would be performing at a popular Fort Worth eatery on West Berry, just a few blocks from Record Town. After we left Stephen, my friend told me that Stephen and his band were Kristofferson's backing band in A Star Is Born, which was the #1 movie in the country at that time. My wife and I and my best friend and his wife went to see Stephen's band who performed as Little Whisper & the Rumor. It was all very surreal. Incidentally, in 1970, Stephen auditioned to play lead guitar for Van Morrison, but that job was won by my dear friend, John Platania, whom I met in 1991through Don McLean.
I saw them live, well except for kws, great show
They opened for KWS when I saw them in NH
Stephen Bruton is in your record collection.
I met him about a year before this, when my brother sat in for Yoggie. I've always thanked Yoggie for whatever was going on that night. Instant friends and I went out and started buying his stuff the next day. Whenever I could get to Austin, I'd try and see and a Resentments show...and bring a pecan pie same as for my own brother.
One Seriously Jive Ass Groove There! miss you TSB!
Beautiful version of a great townes song!
what a gem

lead guitar had a string out of tune....but still great song.

Malford never got the respect he deserved. Great singer.
