Yess awesome!! How did you create the texture?
Totally awesome!❤
😍👌👏👏👏
Hi Sue. This is absolutely beautiful. I just love watching you transform all these furniture pieces. You are truly an artist, and I am very inspired by you. Be blessed and happy Thanksgiving.
Thank you so much! That is so sweet of you to take the time to reach out and say. Happy holidays to you as well🩷
The original lamp was so much prettier.
Well there are plenty just like it at goodwill so have at it 😂
Stunning
Thank you!!!
Hola me encantan me gustaría saber q es el espray q le puso quiero hacer animales .y se un corazón pero quiero hacer otras cosas me encanta gracias ante mano.
Yessss!! ❤️
Gorgeous! Have you ever used the shifters on fabrics. Sorry, I have a brain like a whirling dervish.
Only on painted fabric like upholstery or leather. Nothing that needs to be washed. I just posted a whole tutorial on shifting my sofa :)
@TanglewoodSue thanks, when the chores are finished and I can play a little, I'll send a picture.
@@TanglewoodSueit’s fab
I can’t wait to see the end result! I know it’s going to be gorgeous
Love it! It's so gypsy-fortune-teller's-parlor!
Oooh I like that image
OMG a couple years ago I got one of those exact DT bowl, drilled a hole in the center, let my kid decorate it (from the inside) and used it as the dome for the ceiling light in our hallway. It looks amazing!
Oh wow! How did the light shine through? Did you use ink??
@@TanglewoodSue Well she had no idea what I was having her decorate it for (it was to be a surprise). But I told her to just glue colorful little things in there, but not too many, so it's still mostly clear. It's just funny how we both saw those bowls and thought 'LAMPSHADE". They're just so pretty and you can't tell they're plastic unless you touch them! Girl I love me some Dollar Tree SO MUCH. Right now I'm making a necklace and I have beads of various colors sitting in those yellow corn cob holders they sell in 4-packs. They are SO PERFECT for sorting tiny things like beads, rhinestones, etc. You can so easily slide them from one end to the other and the little bumps stop them from rolling back. Then when you are done with them you can tilt the holder down to the narrower end, and it channels right into whatever container, even mini-ziplocs! When I walked into DT that day, I thought, "Show me a narrow sorting and pouring vessel" and BAM there these were.
LOVE IT!!! Moody maximalist here!! 😊
Rock on!
Please don’t poison yourself by spraying paint everywhere indoors. Use some common sense and apply paint, ink etc with a brush or dipping method and plan ahead.
I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a ruder comment than this and I’ve gotten rude comments for 10 years. Maybe use some common sense yourself and ask before you attempt to shame. If you had I could have turned the camera for you to see that I’m standing in a huge roll up doorway and when that is not an option I’m wearing an osha mask. Honestly! Get a hold of yourself
@ Thin skin Sue, get a hold of yourself.
Sue, it's gorgeous! These pigments are beyond!!! ✨️💜✨️
Thank you so much!
Cool! A friend gave me an old broken chandelier with those same type crystals. Now i can add a twist of colour💕
Exactly!!! Glad I could help :)
Wow, great idea for the crystals!! I never would have thought of that on my own. Thanks for the varnish first tip as well!! 🙂
You are so welcome! Glad I finally remembered 😂
I picked up so many useful tips here. Thank you!
You're so welcome!
Don’t cover it! It’s awesome!!
I did and it’s awesomer!
Whoa! Ive been wanting to do something with my lamp shade on my bedside table lamp. It already has crystals hanging from it and this would be awesome. Im going to try it along with a decoupage on the shade. Thanks 😁
You are so welcome!!!!
I'm in love, I'm buying them all!!!
Rock on!!!
Why is loving the couch as it is now a problem? If it makes you happy every time you see it now, go with it, girl! Your ADHD is making this harder than it has to be. Leave it and love it as is!
Didn’t leave it. Love it even more now! 🩷
You’re amazing! 😅

No idea why i love this so much, i don't really care much about lamps other than measuring their light, but i absolutely love that and your happiness!
What a sweet thing to say. I’m glad my enthusiasm hits in a good way :)
That's the most amazing dresser transformation I have ever seen! I'm in love with the finished result ❤
Thank you so much! I have the full tutorial here on my channel if you want to try it yourself!
Yes ma'am you're right
Id like to hear what classes you think kids should have. I agree with creativity class with no teacher telling you that your sky can't be pink. Has she ever looked at a sky?!
Well as an adult I wish we had interpersonal relationship classes, bookkeeping classes and critical thinking for all!!!!
Basic life lessons like how to fill out job apps , how to have a good credit score, figure out bills, there's so much that I had to show my 18 year old after he moved out that he didn't know and I'm still showing him how to do basic stuff
Preach that Teach!❤️🩷🧡💛💚💙🩵💜🤎🖤🩶🤍
Fyp❤😊❤ this is beautiful
Thanks doll! I appreciate you watching
I make things out of wood and crystal and metal. My professional artist friends say that I am very artistic and yet I fight that word to the end of times. The thought of paint on paper gives me chills…. I missed a lot of school due to illness. My last year of taught art I was told there wasn’t time to teach me but I had to produce one piece of drawn art (with no clue how). Then I was just sat in a corner trying to do what the rest did but with no instruction. So I’m not an artist. It was only when I could no longer work in science that I tried making things to stay sane. I enjoy the pleasure the things bring to others and that’s what makes me try new ideas and techniques. To be taught for creativity’s sake with no wrong answer or to be told you would be wasting resources would be a wonderful thing for future generations!! 🧡
I truly believe if you have emotional awareness you are an artist. It’s not about talent or composition. It’s only about allowing your emotions to come out of you. That’s it. You are an artist just by writing this comment ❤️❤️❤️
First - beautifully executed on both subject matters. Watching/hearing the processes evolving. Laying down the foundation. Each step is building upon the previous, reaching higher and higher. The excitement of creativity is set free, knowing it can and does live in harmony with the analytical side of the brain. Second - Your passion is contagious. Third - You've got a new subscriber.
What a lovely response to my expression. It’s so very much appreciated and I’m glad you are here with me in the journey.
But if you make people aware of their personal value they won't wanna work themsleves to death for the rich!!!!! This is sarcastic btw.
Oh I speak sarcasm. I’m here for it always and I concur completely
hi fab job ! I was confused aout the wash you used to lock in the tannins. I couldnt catch what you said (Im british not sure if thats why lol)
I use shellac. It works the best!!
Absolutely! What are the others?
dear lord, yes!! So much unlearning of what an "artist" or "creative" looks like in our world. I studied art history, i learned the basis and more in college, I explored but I compared and I broke my own heart by now continuing to create because I wasn't an "artist". *rolls eyes* We don't need to monetize our creativity, we need to create for the wellbeing of our hearts.
All the truth here.
You hit the nail on the head. When we are small we create art and our parents tell us how wonderful it is. Get to school (ours had a really lousy teacher) and your graded and discouraged about what you have created. It's a sad state of affairs and the kids think they aren't any kind of artist and give up. I'm a creative-I can sew, knit, crochet, make soaps and lotions and paint furniture. Now I never thought I could paint on canvas because somewhere in grade school I gave up and decided I couldn't do it. Three years ago after being bored because of retirement and covid and lockdowns and fear that I would catch this dreaded virus I found some youtube instructional videos on how to paint. I gave it a shot and it wasn't too bad. It wasn't great but I enjoyed doing it. I had to stop for awhile because a close friend was diagnosed with cancer and she needed my help. After she passed I spent a few months working on the yard, grieving and doing other things but I finally got back to painting and I make it a point to paint every day. I really enjoy it. At 68 painting furniture is hard for me but painting on canvas doesn't require heavy lifting or being on the floor for long periods. The little girl that thought she could never be good at art is now an old lady who can't wait to go out to the garage to paint. Every child should be shown that art is a good thing for their mind and spirit especially in this crazy world we now live in. It's a safe and happy place when life doesn't always feel safe and happy. Now to the next problem. Our house is kind of small and I fear that I will run out of wall space. Maybe I will give some of the paintings away. Who knows but going to my little studio in the garage is something to look forward to.
Thanks you so much for watching and sharing your story with me 🩷🩷🩷
"Every child should be shown that art is a good thing for their mind and spirit especially in this crazy world we now live in. It's a safe and happy place when life doesn't always feel safe and happy." Exactly, bravo! I'm 58 and just a couple yrs ago healed a hurt part of my heart that wanted to create but didn't feel good enough to. Now I"ve healed that wound and I'm creating all the time ~ crochet, cooking, painting, crafts, writing, photography...all the ways my hearts says DO IT. What began as a spark and ember thanks to a high school art teacher is now kept alight with my own need to be happy through my creativity. Thank you for keeping your ember alive too!
❤
Holy sh€t. These are freakin awesome!!!!!!!!
I love them so much. It’s mid November and I don’t want to take them down yet 😂
Awesome idea, so cool, I Love it!!!
Thank you! 😊
Soooo adorable! I love it. Thanks for the tip. Looks like her anxiety is gone!
Oh it’s an everyday struggle 😊
Can you use those on clay?
Sure! Https://tanglewoodworks.com/blogs/all-about-that-paint/using-tanglewood-sue-per-shifting-metallic-waxes
If that’s what you want then do be it. 😊
I did! 😂
Love that you said, "Who cares? It's for me. I don't have to make it worth anything, because Iiiiii like it!" 😂❤
What a fantastic wall that would be ❤. Did you paint that mural on the wall outside. I have to see it. ❤❤
No but it’s cool huh?
What we do for our babies!😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜
Right?!?!
Used to have an autistic Redpoint Siamese cat. We figured out his unique requirements pretty quickly so his anxiety was short-lived. He and his gorgeous, dumb, lazy, chubby brother lived their best lives with us for 9 years. God, I miss my beautiful boys...💜💜💜
Yes! Priceless!!!!!!!!
Please don’t be stifled by the assholes. When that happens and you feel bad. Shove it in their face as much as you can. Paint your little hot away. I think everything you do is absolutely beautiful, creative, original, like you said, mesmerizing, and I love to see what you do.❤
Thank you so much for those sweet encouraging words!
