You may have to adjust volume for this video. This safe was around $100, a good price for a medium size safe. The exterior size 8.7 in H X 13.8 in W X 9.7 in D. Interior, 8.5 in H X 13.6 in W X 8.7 in D. If you have any questions, let me know!

Nice
Shotgun bro im about to do this in my 1994 supra 2jzge do u know if i can also remove the head with out removing the cams? And what tool did u use to remove bolts are those same bolts as the 2jzge engine mine says i have to use a hex12 point socket tool
The cam shafts are in the head, your removing the head to get to the head gasket. I had a hex that we lodged in a socket and used that to remove the bolts. Research proper way to remove the head bolts. If you don't know what your doing, this project isn't gonna be worth it.
Hey man, how did the build go?
It failed lol, I got the head machined, should've done block as well, but no time or space and I was out of money, so I had to sell it. Sucks, but it was too much of a headache to keep anyways. Thanks for asking.
I have a dodge charger i cant get the headbolts off its too tight not even with my 3/4 breaker bar
Felipe Martinez same
im working on the same engine aswe speak just in a cressida,
so I just blew my supras head gasket. could you give me a ballpark estimate of how mug money I'm looking at spending with replacing the gasket, bolts, getting it machined, and anything else I'll need. thank you!
I was wondering if you or anyone else could give me advice. I have the exact same Toyota supra, however it's making an engine knocking noise. When I rev the engine up the knocking sound goes away but when the car idles the knocking sound comes back. I replaced the water pump, spark plugs and did a full tune up but the sound still persist. Any idea of what it could be? Thank you in advance.
sorry its sunday I mean job.
nice jod sir.Can I pulled the off like this on the 2j vvti with touching the cams like you did?
Cool man. What advice would you give someone who has never opened up an engine before, that wants to learn how to replace a head gasket on their own? And what tools would I need? I really want to learn how to do this shit.
Brandon Covington I would suggest having someone show you how to do It, Its not something you want to do on your own If your not sure how an engine works/goes together/how things work with one another. Id buy the chilton book for your car, If its available. Also use any online resources you know of, youtube, forums, podcasts, magazines, all Info helps. You never know what tools your going to end up needing, so Its best to have a wide variety, get the specs for the engine, nut/bolt sizes, screws/clamps, torque specs, also any 'difficult' locations In case you need extensions. You'll definitely need a timing light and torque wrench, empty containers for coolant, lots of towels/rags. You'll have to be very organized as well, take notes, pictures, video. When you take something off, make sure you keep all the pieces together and In order, label wires, hoses, vacuum lines and where they connect to so when you go to reconnect them 'A' will go to 'A' and 'B' with 'B' ect. Also have a couple hundred bucks saved specifically for parts that might break due to old age, also, you'll need an engine rebuild kit, and you may have to get the head(s) resurfaced. Thats a lot lol.
Thank you so much dude. I've been rigorous in the educated pursuit of automobiles and how they work and I appreciate the honesty. I'm becoming more familiar with engines in general but I know it's a never-ending pursuit. The biggest fear I have is assembling compenents incorrectly but as you said, pictures and notes will probably ease the anxiety. I'm taking baby steps in fixing up my car at the moment, so hopefully some day I can tackle a project this large.
how long did it take to get the head off?
We couldve had It off the first day, but we needed a tool that I didnt have.
how long did it take you exactly to finish this?
It took three month's. Had financial issues, getting the head machined, buying new headbolts, the rebuild kit, and misc items for cleaning, didnt get my 2012 tax return, which Im still waiting on. Couldve had It done In a couple weeks If everything worked out. Thanks for asking. -Phil
Cool. I had the head machined people. Godamn.
You literally just made me cringe...Hope your head is ok...
I had the head machined.
ur supposed to loosen them one at a time, ur risking head warping.
What does that secret hose do under the intake. Just bought one of these and was checking things out and found it disconnected!
