I love the small detail of the violet cat beside the grave of the mammon machine. How both the grave and cat mirror Schala and Janus. The cat cleaning its paws as though after catching a mouse; outdoor cat owners sometimes will find hunts of cats left on their doorstep as a gift. Schala embracing Janus, warmth, love, tenderness. Then between them, a small inlet of water, as sands in an hourglass draining down into the vast ocean and underwater palace hosting the mammon machine. Almost to say the people of Zeal were emptying into the Mammon Machine. As fuel for a combustion engine. Its a great image matching the tone of this song. I remember when playing CT, I searched everywhere trying to find Schala. I know that was cleared up in CC, but when CT was originally released; I wonder what the story writers had in mind then, regarding her fate vs how it may have changed leading up to designing CC.
