Join Margaret Mizushima as she talks about STANDING DEAD with Pamela Fagan Hutchins on Crime & Wine.
About STANDING DEAD:
A Timber Creek K-9 Mystery-Deputy Mattie Cobb and her sister, Julia, travel to Mexico to visit their mother, but when they arrive, they discover that she and her husband have vanished without a trace. Back in Timber Creek, Mattie finds a chilling note on her front door telling her to look for “him” among the standing dead up in the high country.
The sheriff’s department springs into action and sends a team to the mountains, where Mattie’s K-9 partner, Robo, makes a grisly discovery-a body tied to a dead pine tree. Mattie is shocked when she realizes she knows the dead man. And then another note arrives, warning that Mattie’s mother is in desperate straits. In a last-ditch gambit, Mattie must go deep undercover into a killer’s lair to save her mother-or die trying.

This is my husband Eric's favorite of our #Snowheresville videos ever, and it is pretty cool... Our own Wyoming bobsled course! Note: We are driving a Ram 2500 long bed. Wide and lengthy, with VERY aggressive tires that cost an arm and a kidney. Normally we take our shorter, more narrow Jeep Grand Cherokee, but we had to pick up Eric's Christmas present at UPS... a Peloton bike... The truck bed...

A few. :-) That was a few years back of course. Road Well, paved won't take you the whole way ;-) You can go up 14 to FR 26 which is gravel, then take the dirt road to Park Reservoir and keep going toward Coffeen Park, if you want to be where we were in this video. Or from Big Horn head up to Red Grade Road. That one is more gnarly but it's our fave and turns into FR 26. Still take the turn to Park Reservoir but you'll come from the opposite direction. There are lots of other places to hit the east fork but we like the area before Coffeen Park best. Gorgeous.

A great interview that I truly enjoyed! I’ve been a huge fan of Holly’s books ever since I read Amy’s Story from her Fang Chronicles Series that Holly writes as D”Elen McClain. I highly recommend this Series, especially if you love the Paranormal genre but then again, I love all of Holly’s books 😉

If only it weren’t completely plagiarized. At this point I have serious doubts about all her works. After coming across 3-4 books that clearly plagiarized other, better written, books. Very sad indeed. She should be sued and shamed.

You are older than my daughter by a couple of weeks but I feel more of a Sisterhood with you. Reading this book I had chicken skin (in Hawaii means goose bumps) most of the time. Our backgrounds are so similar, "Feeling things", Prayer for our spouses, even before mine was diagnosed, living in a culture of ancient Hawaiian beliefs - or whatever. Our son gets the same feelings but he no longer practices or believes any religion. I think it's funny because he and a friend were talking about the darker side of things. I don't know how it affected the other guy but our son didn't sleep that well while he was visiting us. I learn for the Spiritual side, with no regrets. Lol.

I believe the real story that needs to be told for humanity is the story of Narcissist Mothers who scapegoat and triangulate and terms like "golden child" need to be understood. After speaking with Rae Ann and Leanne's daughter and reading what i could find it is clear that these children of Lucille went back as adults to try and get something they never got.....which was understanding . Milton went, RaeAnn went , the boy she was pregnant with in photo kept contact too w the birth mother. LeAnn stayed w a grandmother but had to go back to mom to babysit her birth moms new children....how objectified she was! Sue lynn i believe her name was, is one of the five and she passed away saying her mother should be burning in hell. This type of abuse leaves people confused and waking up in their 50s usually to understand what they went through. A quick scan of youtube videos of daughters and sons of narcissist and the comments show this worldwide epidemic. The worst part is the false hope the mother will give unconditional love the children have which disappoints and crushes the soul of an already traumatized person. The mother had the means given to her by the people who heard about her plight. When the donations stopped , the mothers self seeking energy sucking behavior caused her to sell and adopt out and give away her children! I HAVE NO INTENTIONS IN READING THE BOOK THAT THE FAMOUS PHOTO INSPIRED because the author skipped over REAL human tragedy to come up with a fantasy story. To me it seems an outrageous injustice and just pathetic to put energy in such an endeavor.....perhaps even narcissist on the author's part. Just my opinion.
