Mount Nebo Visit

We visited Mount Nebo State Park and loved it. I wish we could pull our trailer up and camp, but it is over the length restriction. I biked around the rim and JoAnn walked the pups. Located near Dardanelle, Arkansas and rising about 1,350 feet (410 m) above the mountain valleys of west-central Arkansas to an elevation of about 1,755 feet (535 m) above sea level, Mount Nebo has views of 34,000 a...

Your video was truly beautiful and inspiring. As a fellow creator, I appreciate the effort you put into it. Sub and 👍8
Thanks for commenting. Even though the amateur I enjoy putting them together
The Athabasca falls has an easy trail around the river which is manageable for most. Looks like a fun trip.
it is, and makes a little crowded, but not too bad.
Are you allowed on the trails with your pups? I thought the National parks don't allow it. Banff to Jasper is so beautiful!
Yes in Canadian national parks they were allowed during the time we were there. There was a time restriction on a Lake Minnewanka trail, but that is all we know of. Alaska national parks no dogs are allowed or is very limited.
We have 2 golden doodles- your pups remind me of ours!
one benefit of RVing is to have our dogs with us
We would love to go back to the North Shore of MN and spend more time! Book your State Park spots EARLY!
Amazon had a repair kit for our pump that had the gasket/spring/and plunger. Worked like a charm!
Good luck when you see Bigfoot😮😮😮😮
OMG, I had the biggest fear of Bigfoot when I was a chid.
Hello, nice video...I know it's an old video. We have decided to stay here for 4 nights because of your and other's videos. I have a question for you though. Were you charged $10 per night for electricity? Not the $20 campsite fee but an additional $10 per night for electricity? Making it $30 per night. The NPS employee told me they have been charging $10 for electricity for years. Thank you.
@@williamlee3857 sorry, don’t remember. But it was a nice place and close to the Ocoee. Enjoy.
I wanting to get the countertop out to try to epoxy it. How hard was it to get the top out in one piece.
@@dalenelson3707 it came easily and in one piece. It could have been refinished and replaced no problem.
Great video! My family of 5 is heading there this year. Do you know if it’s easy to bike from the campground to the beach?
Yes, believe it is easy. Enjoy your stay.
I am looking at a 2016 Grand Design Travel Trailer RV IMAGINE 2150RB . Like your channel. Any advice what to watch out for on these units that you may not have shown yet?
I am no expert, have not purchased a used RV yet. At a simple level I would look at everything making sure nothing is loos or has water damage. This includes going behind the curtain to see things like the water pump, water heater. Make sure all the mechanicals work, water pump refrigerator furnace air conditioner water heater slider and such. Go onto the roof to make sure everything Is sealed. Make sure there are no soft spots. If you buy from an individual, I would check the wheel bearings or have them serve as before using the trailer. Just a few thoughts, good luck.
Oh how I love the Lower Yough! Hours of fun, exercise, time with friends, …beautiful, beautiful river - even when clogged with boats & rafts!
I enjoyed watching your video. Hope to ride in the USA in 2025. Best wishes from Germany

They last a good while?
Yes, I think so. Years.
Very quiet, but difficult to find.
Good video. I want to add a shelf in my storage compartment like yours for rugs and chairs as well. I noticed you have you slide only partially out in the video. I work for a dealership and we have always told people never to do that with the Schwintek slides. It could cause them to get out of sync and stop working. I have never done it and my slide has broken 3 times already. May want to be careful doing that
Thanks for the tip and feedback. Happy camping
Do you have the info on the skylight that you used and where you got it? Thanks good install
Hi John, I got it from Amazon. Unfortunately, it cracked last fall. For the second replacement I used a band name. Something that a dealer or major retailer sells. I went with and Icon RV Skylight: a.co/d/cwGDZ7n Good luck
Same crap they pulled on 9-11 with building 7!

All those weirdo liberals of Rich city.

Interesting that your video popped up on my UA-cam feed. Due to my own lack of proper maintenance I had a bearing go out on mine and it lightly chewed up the spindle. Had mechanic repack all of the other bearings and he had to lightly grind on the damaged spindle to get new bearing on. This was last week in Pennsylvania. I'm in Roanoke Virginia currently and we stopped here because I started to hear a light squeak back there. Hubs don't feel hot at the moment but I'm waiting for a word about possibly going to work in Hampton Virginia so I'll be heading your way possibly. Just wondering if I have any issues on my way would you possibly be able to have a glance at it? I plan on taking my time and stopping frequently to feel the hubs and take the caps off and look for any shavings inside. A new axle beam is ready to be shipped but I can't ship it until I know exactly where in Hampton I'll be staying for the job we'll be doing. Anyway, just thought I'd ask in case I run into a problem. Great video and yes, I have learned a valuable lesson by not having bearings repacked and checked etc. Surprised it lasted 9 years to be honest as it's a 2013 unit. I remember greasing the hubs once about 5 years ago but I let it go after that. Completely my fault and honestly kind of horrifying knowing it can crap out and stop you dead wherever your at.
Hi YouGoobers, I hope it holds up for you. If you have trouble, it would be best for you to find a shop. I can do some maintenance, but repair is a whole different story.
How did you know the part # for the seals in advance? All I’ve seen is take them off and bring to auto supply store to see what you need. thanks. I also found your struggle very informative. Too many videos show everything perfect condition so you never know where you might get stuck.
I bought the seals from the RV dealer the first time. Have them give the appropriate part.
Tnanks for the review. You guys should go to Red River Gorge in Kentucky and stay at Koomer Ridge Campground. It's a 5 star location in Daniel Boone National Forest.
thanks for the comment. will put Red River on the list. we’ve not been in that area in a long time
Bearings must have .001" - 005" end play. Bearings should be cleaned in mineral spirits and inspected for damage. All brake moving parts should be cleaned and lubricated. After reassembly the brakes should be adjusted.
Thanks for the feedback. I'll add the mineral spirits step for sure
Great video Karl.
thanks Mick
Great video with an unfortunate ending. We were all bummed about the accident and hope you get a chance to ride the whole thing eventually.
thanks Keith
Thanks babe! This has really helped with door area management. We have 3 dogs in our camper now! So less clutter at the entry point has really helped the morning process. Love a man with imagination and skills! Dad would be proud of your use of tools!
You crazy boys! I hope you all had some fun! Now Karl has to ride this again with me in 2024 or perhaps 2023 if we can work it in early.

It is a great beach and the campground is really convenient. I would give it a 7
Awesome! We are going there for a couple days then home
Took the kids to the splash park. It was awesome!
Great job! I'd like to do the same to my Imagine 23BHE. The panel interior color I have is grey. I'm not sure what kind of stain to use. Look forward to your next project. Thanks!
Thanks for the comment, great to get feedback. I like the grey interior.
Nice video Karl! Good job working through the details and making it look great. Sorry to hear about your father in law.
Thanks for the nice comment. It is sad to lose parents. I love thinking about them when using their things such as tools.
@@GoingGordons sorry Karl. Wishing you the best.
Love it 🍸
I was a different event for sure
Nice video, thanks for sharing! We've visited Belle Island State Park, but have not camped there yet. I think we may give it a shot!
Hey, we are supposed to be going there to site 6 on Monday and just realized there’s no water hookups. Is there a place to fill your tank? Somebody said something about bringing a long hose and connecting to one of the hydrants but I wasn’t able to confirm that. I’m kind of new travel trailer. Always been a tent guy but my wife likes using the bathroom in the trailer and isn’t as adventurous as I am.
I don’t remember. Looking at the map it seems that water is available at the dump station. I’m sure that is how we filled. I know carry 50 feet of water hose in case there’s a faucet near the campsite. Site six looks like it’s the furthest away from a faucet though. I really like the campground, enjoy.
@@GoingGordons ok thanks!
Hey guys, was wondering if you might be able to shed a little light on the enforcement attitude of the local law enforcement. I plan on coming up this Fourth of July for a nice relaxing weekend on the beach with some good drink, A giant bonfire, and my pup... however I heard that they are very stringent on alcohol, unleashed dogs, and "unapproved" fires. Any inout you guys could provide would be awesome
We didn't do any of those things, but I would guess that the area is highly patrolled. The beach is very near parking lot and the nearby town.
Nice clear video on removing the wheel bearings. I was thinking about purchasing that tool you used to remove the grease seal. But even with that tool, it looks like a PITA. I've seen people use a claw hammer and remove them also. What do you think? Is that tool worth buying? I know they're not expensive but like I said, it seems like you were really having to work to get that seal off. I want to do my travel trailer bearings, but I live in the country and don't have a level driveway. Just dirt. I really don't want to pay somebody to do this. Thanks again for a nice clear video!!
Thanks for the nice comment Gary. I agree that the tool I used was a struggle. Something that can be inserted and then tapped upward with a hammer would be nice. At the end of the day the seals are replaced so does not matter if they are damaged. A dirt driveway would be ok. Just laydown cardboard.
I have the same problem with our 2020 2500RL which has a 7500# GVWR with only 2 D35 axles, 3500# each. It seems to me that only works on paper and for the life of the warranty. I am sure I need to replace the stock plastic bushings and am will upgrade the equalizer to something like the CRE3000 and wet bolts all around. Replacing the springs was something I hadn't considered. That would solve one problem and save my wheels, don't need to replace the axle. Can you provide some ordering info on your replacement springs. Did you mention in the video that you new springs raised the trailer 2-3 inches. Did that change the handling at all? Thanks for putting this video together.
Here is a link to the springs. I had them delivered to a local store to save shipping cost. I don’t notice any handling difference. Maybe the trailer bounces more, ie more spring. I would like to check if the wheels still bottom out. With the old springs I have rub marks above the wheels. Best of luck. www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200365452_200365452?cm_mmc=Housefile-_-RECEIVED-_-707-_-CONF&fbclid=IwAR398kvLx0s3vnE6zmNg7plg8WoeDxfKr4aCGDb3b-5jwpepUgaif9fCFIM
Hey guys. Thanks for sharing. Park looked awesome. I thought the blue sites were kinda weird. You wonder why they would set them up that way. Great video. New friends here. KTKamping Kent and Tami
Thanks for the comments and subscribing. See you over on your channel.
Dang, are you guys still around?
Well, still on UA-cam. I guess officially I don't kayak anymore. But would like to start up again.
Haha, the limbo! under the gate. Yet, still a nice park. even though the sites are not specific of your choice.
Some sites are specific some not. The specific get snatched first I suppose.
The town of Clarksville, VA nearby is very cute and has a nice brewery. We had a ride with friends around Kerr Lake and made a weekend out of it. C Loop is more rustic than B but very nice as well. If you have a larger rig you will want site specific. There was one couple who showed up after us who left because the remaining site would not accommodate their trailer. But travelers with large rigs are probably used to making site specific reservations.
Nice
You need to mount your chicken guard outside in the sun for the sensor to work. I added a longer string to allow an outside mount to allow full functioning options. You're cheating yourself with the unit inside Carl. Get some metal sewing thimbles and screws for pulleys to get the string over the door. I did it and it works!
I did have it outside at one time. But felt the turns took away from motor and my door is really heavy. Built the door before I had the ChickenGuard
I'm envious of those (6) Battleborn batteries. General rule I've read elsewhere is approx 300 watts of solar per 100 ah of lithium battery in order to keep up on sunny days. Obviously your roof is your limiting factor, so adding more batteries and charging them when possible is the best option.
Yep, not following that rule. We have 800 watts solar and 600 ah batteries. One of the goals is to run the AC on hot summer nights while boondocking during long trips. Only get one night and then need shore power to run AC again.
@@GoingGordons Yep, I agree, must have AC capability. We live in GA and anywhere in the southeast you need to run AC some during April - Oct. Sometimes even later due to the humidity.
Like your videos. I’d suggest the a dc-dc charger to power that refrigerator/batteries while driving. Victron Orion-TR 12/12-30. It should help you keep up.
I would like to have the DC to DC charger from the truck. Watched a few vides, but not sure I want to undertake the task myself. Would also like to add and air compressor. Thank you for adding a comment.
