* I love the tone of your message. Though I love God, the reason I choose to fear Him in my personal walk with God is to remind myself I am a sinner saved by grace and that though He loves us, He is a Holy and Righteous God who hates sin and rebellion. Moses learned this the hard way when he was almost killed by the angel of the Lord for not circumcising his son and finally not being allowed to enter the Promised Land. Why I found wisdom in the fear of the Lord is because as a sinner saved by grace I found it easy to get too comfortable and sometimes careless while in the abundance of His grace. As a youth I was almost cut off for this and it became a powerful lesson for me that I never forget. Though God loves us, He means what He says. When Christ drew His eyes upwards on the cross and groaned in His spirit, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" Those words were painfully expressed as He felt His Father turn away from Him." Therefore we are admonished, "Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall." With that as my firm foundation, nothing stands in the way of me willingly obeying the command, "And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.”

Christmas Day a year ago, my disgusting abusive narcissistic husband had a narcissistic collapse and checked himself into a swanky 45 day treatment program. Two weeks in he said some things that revealed the double life he’d been living for 30 years. I spent Thanksgiving alone with my dogs and I’ll spend all the other holidays, including my birthday alone with my dogs as well. I do not miss anything about him. He was a big fat lump of nothing. No good memories, because he never did anything memorable. I’m realizing how much work I put into trying to make things nice for almost 3 decades and have nothing to show for it. I’ve been spending the last year and $23,000 to try and settle with him rather than go to court or mediation. We of course have made no progress. Asking Santa to allow him to maybe have a heart attack and not wake up. That would be the best Christmas present ever.
