The left track is for Shinkansen only and is 1450mm wide. The right track is for conventional trains only and is 1067mm wide. In some sections (1:04 to 1:10, which is actually a long distance), there are 3 rail to allow Shinkansen to pass each other. This is a very unusual route!

The Hakone Tozan Railway has several characteristics. 3 switchbacks, maximum slope 80 per mil, minimum radius 30m curve. This railway was completely suspended due to track damage caused by a typhoon in 2019. It was restored in 2020. The area around 2:50 is one of the damaged areas. The 2019 typhoon also caused damage to other railways. The red bridge that the Ueda Electric Railway passes through in my video is one of the damaged areas. @@rubycon0531 As far as I can remember, I always loved Asia in general and Japan in particular. I've always been attracted to japanese culture. I like manga, anime, tokusatsu, cinema (not only the classics like Kurosawa but also directors like Miki Satoshi 三木 聡 and Yaguchi Shinobu 矢口 史靖). Long time fan of YMO, I like P-model (and then Hirasawa Susumu in his solo career and Soyuz Project), Kitaro, Yoshimura Hiroshi 吉村弘, Denki Groove, Supercar, Polysics.... And of course, japanese cuisine 😋 (mostly 洋食)

@@pascallefevre1148 My first TD album was Force Majeure - so, right after the Virgin Years. But I'm a fan of all their releases, and finally saw them in person in Washington in 2015.

@@stevenkramer3431 Force Majeure is the first album I bought with my own pocket money in 1979. I was 12 or 13 and I have a vivid memory of me being in the record store and buying it. Before that I received Ricochet and Stratosfear as Christmas presents. I also like all TD albums but the Virgin Years are special to me because of the strong connection with my childhood.

This album is not a compilation of past works, but Edgar's modifications to past songs, so it has not been well-received by die-hard fans. But, CD-5 is very important because it is all unreleased music and it is TD's old-fashioned sound!

This is a very unusual place. This section looks like double track, but the right side is for Shinkansen only. From 2:37 to 4:42, the track on the left has three tracks so that Shinkansen trains can pass each other. The track width of the Shinkansen is 1435 mm, while that of conventional lines is 1067 mm!
