Testing this combo together. The rode mic was not woking with the stock mi app. It works with other apps like open camera that have the option to select the mic in settings. 1080p 30fps EIS on stock camera app. The EIS smooths the footage better then the gimbal does. If I turn the EIS off i get bouncing in the video that could be caused by the weight.

mate im doing this setup, is the fan setup as sucking the air out from the heat sink or blowing the air towards the heatsink?
It should suck, otherwise hot air collide on mac mini surface

I was recording in 1080p 50p in direct sunlight in the morning. It's the small camera body combined with higher frame rate that caused the overheating even in 1080p. If they made a g100 ii they would need an updated cooling system or small fan in a body this size for unlimited 4k or 1080p in higher frame rates in a hot climate.

do you have to adhere the heatsync to the chassis? or is it just laying on top of it?
It is just sitting on top. Using thermal paste or pad would increase conductivity however even just sitting on top allows it to draw heat with the help of the fan to bring heat away from the chassis.

This is great! Did you apply thermal paste to the heatsink/mini or did you just lay it on top?
I just sat it on top however you would get even better results with a thermal pad or paste to increase connectivity surface area.
Did you place it on top of the Apple logo or did you remove it?

The LUMIX G100 has autofocus in S&Q, which my G9 doesn’t. Nice camera.

G’day mate, I would recommend the g7 as has better record limits, better build quality and will not easily overheat. The image quality is similar if you are using some manual controls and continues autofocus on either is not good enough so just do single focus or manual focus on these cameras. If LUMIX release g100 ii with the new autofocus system , no record limits and other improvements at a low price then that would be a big upgrade over current budget m43 cameras for video.
I use a small cpu fan and it works like magic on my mac. Im a bit not sure a magnet will be a good idea , so it just sits on the top.

Im gonna share this with everybody cuz it seems my overheating issue with my Mac mini 2012 has been fixed . I dont tend to download apps and shit from the web randomly on my Mac since its used for music production specifically but a week ago I made some changes in my home studio adjust for astetics changed the white original power cord with another one to try hide it from sight. After that I noticed the fans on my Mac were going crazy by just watching UA-cam or performing the slightest task like transferring files. It wast until I went to an apple forum where somebody asked the question " what temperature my Mac its supposed to run and power cord makes any difference" . So based on that I grabbed the original cable and put it back. No fans going crazy , no overheating, no slowing down ... NO ISSUES AT ALL . Im hoping that was the problem and if it was ...thats the sneakiest way apple manage to get you buy their products only. Crazy
use a older os system it makes all the differance. once i upgrade to mojave my mac mini ran way to hot.

Iam using a medium fan under with out cover and a blackshark magnetic cooler on top. Stays in the 46C -ish range. Not bad next I will order a 150x150x20 mm copper heatsink see how it goes.
I got a fan made just for the Mac mini goes under it and u removed the bottom lid and it sucks the hot air out. My temperatures are much lower than yours and it runs amazing and my Mac is old it’s a 2012 model

It's 80mm USB fan with similar sized heatsink. You could go bigger if you like but this size does a good job of keeping the Mac Mini cooler.

Hi mate. It Depends on what you need. If it's a small light lithium battery to charge small electronics like phones, laptop and cameras then I don't think the ps300 has a lot of competition. If you want to run a fridge then go with a bigger battery.

The Polaroid controller that comes with the blanket is fine and will give you similar amps to a more expensive controller with this solar blanket.

Oh ok. With the ps300 the solar controller is built into the unit however if you want to charge another battery via battery terminals or Anderson plug then you will need the controller. Any should do as long as it's has the plugs you need as a lot have full size Anderson plugs where the sp50 has mini Anderson plugs. I made a mini Anderson to Anderson adaptor cable for mine so I can use either.

Yes I have used the SP100 to charge AGM battery and it does well. It is a limitation of the PS300 not the panels

G7’s quite bad at Autofocus. G100 is the way
They have improved the video autofocus a lot in the last 5 years since the g7. I believe there next generation of Lumix m43 cameras with new sensors will have improved the autofocus further to compete with the top players.
