What I did was: Astrion drink invisibility potion Go into hide next to statue Steal Warp to camp. Must be done quickly before cutscenes appears. I'm on PC. I think your way better. Edit: I grabbed the statue, it was still in the air when I warped out. It didn't reach my character pocket. Arrived at camp and the statue was in my inventory. No cutscenes of death to an npc. If you see it , restart.

It's interesting that they called the giant squid a luska. because a squid is not a luska. they said it is a sea monster, when an actual luska would have made a bit more sense to me since a luska is more of a monster since it is the front half of a shark and the back half is just a mass of tentacles. more sea monstery than just a giant squid in my opinion.

A great tip for when facing off the rats, just as you did make Shadowheart use Spirit guardians but keep everyone inside of it, you don't need to move. You can just wait for the rats to come after you, they will die. If some do get inside you can just kill them inside with any character. That way you don't lose much hp or items. I am not certain was it because the Lyrthindor was really close when the cutscene started for his change but when it finished he was left with only about 38 hp (possibly because he was constantly getting attacked by the spirit guardians).
