My academic and athletic background includes being named valedictorian of my high school class in 2018 and achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. I ended up in Wisconsin at Lawrence University, and I immersed himself in a variety of subjects, ultimately discovering a passion for Economics and Statistics. While at Lawrence, I also played as a wide receiver for the Men's Varsity Football program and completed a senior capstone project on the impact of academic performance on athletic success in collegiate athletic programs, which was published in the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics Undergraduate Research Online (SIURO).

Ever since the Fed’s decision to cut the Federal Funds Rate on September 18th, the 10 year treasury and mortgage rates have been losing ground Stronger jobs numbers and words from Fed members have been getting in the way of mortgage rates and it might not stop here. For reference, these show the 10 year treasury (which closely mirrors the 30 year fixed) before and after the Fed decision. #loansbydb #goldstar #mortgagerates #fakenews #finance #homebuying #education #halloween
Not doing this can cost you thousands… when it might have only taken you one minute to take care of Filing your primary residence exemption for your home is crucial to keeping your mortgage payments affordable. If you missed the cut off or just do not file at all, you can see two large increases in your monthly payments. 1. If you do not file this, your tax bill will dramatically increase… if your taxes are being paid out of escrow (by your mortgage company) then the mortgage company will raise your monthly payments to account for this 2. Once a tax bill comes out and needs to be paid, if that amount is higher than what the mortgage company had set aside for you you will be in what is called an escrow shortage…. A one year low? What’s up with mortgage rates?? ⬇️ 1. Inflation is finally coming down!! 📉 The federal reserve is responsible for maintaining price stability, so as inflation comes down there is less incentive for them to leave the fed funds rate higher 🙏 2. The labor market is softening… 💼 Not necessarily a good thing, but mortgage rates behave opposite the labor market. If unemployment rises, the federal reserve will lower interest rates to maximize economic growth 💡 WAIT ✋ HOW DOES THIS IMPACT THE MARKET?? When you buy a home with lending in place, each payment you make has two parts: principal and interest At the beginning, the majority goes towards interest… this can be surprising to a lot of people.
