Just above Laurel Falls there is incredible old growth forest.
Incredible video that you share, it helps me a lot because I am planning my trip soon, I have a question, how do I get closer to the Engstligen Falls waterfall? I would appreciate an answer
There is a bus from Adelboden that will take with in a 15 minute walk to the falls. From there you can hike up to the viewing platform...it can get a bit muddy but very much worth it.
Nice video but please learn how to spell SMOKY Mountain s
Oh gosh...no 'e' ! thanks for pointing that out!
Thanks for the great video! It takes me back to the 8 day group hiking tour I did with HF Holidays tour company in July 2023. We were based in Adelboden. Each day was a different group day hike. Our leaders spoke excellent English. Looks like you had better weather than us. We had rain and/or clouds almost every day. Even so, it was an unforgettable trip. If you like day hiking, a wonderful trip. Regards, Andy
That is awesome! We've been curious about the hiking trips...perhaps something we will try in the future.
Where is this?
It's in southern Colorado. We stayed in Alamos when we visited.
@@mishandgriff Alamos that's the closest town I'm assuming or is that where it's actually located. I'm trying to figure out which major airport close to it to Fly to
@@dovisonphilipps3378 it's a 30 minute drive to the park from Alamos. Closest major airport would be Colorado Springs, CO or Santa Fe, NM. So you would have a 3 hour drive from the airport if you are planning on flying.
😮😮😮😮amazing 👍🏽👍🏽
Thank you for the amazing views شكرا ❤
I'm going to guess that John is a Capricorn and Mishka is an Aries.
Oh you're so close!! You are correct about John but Mishka is not an Aries...more of a water sign. Thank you watching!!
@@mishandgriff so Pisces?
@@austinstitzel Let's just say I can get a little 'crabby' 😄
Hi, can you tell me if the half fare card will cover travel from Zurich to Adelboden
Yes, our Swiss Travel pass covered travel from Zurich to Adelboden 100% including the final bus ride into Adelboden. If you have the half fare card you should have a similar experience...of course you will have to pay the half fare. I hope you have an amazing time!
I have beeb there. It is a great pleasure for me. If you want to rest , I advice go and see , rest.
You can change the train at Kutna Hora Main Station and drive to the Sedlec station which is only 5 minutes away from the Ossarium. It prevents you from a boring walk alongside the highway. You also should have mentioned that the tickets must be obtained at an extra kiosk as they cannot be bought directly on the premises of the Ossarium. Last but not least, the church you have visited afterwards is not necessarily included in the ticket, you need to buy a combined ticket. Did I get it right that you have missed the main part of Kutna Hora? That doesn‘t makes sense at all, as well as the Hop on Hop off buses in Prague. Last but not least, the Dancing House was not build by Frank Gehry but by a Croatian architect named Vlado Milunić.
Thanks for watching the video....We had wished we skipped the long walk from the main station so that is a good tip. We were able to buy our tickets online. They had a QR code that you can scan for tickets. We did visit most of Kunta Hora including the old town gate etc but the Ossary and Saint Barbara's church were our two main draws. The dancing house was designed by the Croatian-Czech architect Vlado Milunić in cooperation with Canadian-American architect Frank Gehry... hence the joke about Gehry LOL.
@@mishandgriff Sorry for the typos, it was quite early in the morning. I didn't got the joke about Gehry. He might have had a look at the drawings, but that's all he contributed. I do also like your videos from your travels in the U.S. but I don't fully understand your other European destinations (France and Switzerland). Yes, you can buy the Ossarium tickets online, but you still have the choice between only the Ossarium and the Ossarium plus the church. The church is not worth a visit, especially when compared to Prague's churches.
Curious...what European destinations would you recommend? We went to Switzerland because Griff worked there for about 18 months but never got a chance to travel (too much work)...France because my mother raves about France and I really wanted to see Paris. We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and it was our first trip to Europe as a couple. We are novice international travelers so any tips are welcomed. Have a great day!
@@mishandgriff Ah ok, Switzerland and France are more family related destinations, makes sense. Usually, Austria (Vienna) and Germany (Bavaria and more) are common destinations for travellers from the U.S.
Great videos! Very relaxed but you guys seemed to have covered a lot. I took lots of notes for my trip in April. Thanks for sharing. Also that yarn shop is on my list, what is the name and location? Thanks!
Hi, the yarn shop, called Woodpoint, is located at Bělohorská 12, Praha 6 - you can get there by tram nr. 22, 23 or 25, stop at "Malovanka"
Thanks for watching. The store's name Woolpoint Bělohorská 646/12, 169 00 Praha 6-Střešovice, Czechia
Thank you for sharing. Taking my favorite travel partner, my adult daughter, to Europe in August. Spending a week in Prague. Can't wait.

Happy new year!
Nice video. I went here many years ago. Lake George is another beautiful and historic place to visit in NY state. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you again.
Nice video. Thanks for the memories. I used to make a trip in my converted van every year in May to the Smokies. Camped at Look Rock many times during the 1970s. Also camped at Elkmont. Cades Cove campground was always a madhouse. Back then it was fairly busy but nothing like it is now. I'm glad I went when I did. Beautiful place. P.S. Who's that singing "Hey Darlin'"?
We are happy that you enjoyed the video and that it brought back such positive memories. We really loved our experience there and plan to return soon. The song you are asking about is "Honey Take My Hand" by Cody Francis. We use Epidemic Sound, and that is where we found it.
i am enjoying the series. great job!!
Thanks so much! Glad you're enjoying the videos!
They didn't stop about the traffic up top, most likely because of the wind.
Thanks for the clarification. They didn't say why we stopped just that it would be start again shortly. It did make some folks (including John) a little nervous but we were impressed with what a smooth ride it was. If there was wind we didn't feel it (Luckily). Thank you for watching our video.
Switzerland is an amazing place. Expensive, crowded in the summer.. but total worth it.
Agreed! Totally worth it! Can't wait to go back. Thank you for watching our video!
nice video.. just found your content. we are subscribed. we are headed to Geneva/Interlaken in 2024.. our second visit. But this time we are looking to make it to Zermatt. Thanks for capturing your trip.
Hope you have an amazing trip! Thanks for watching.
Great video! My husband and I were just in Zermatt a month ago. We stayed at Hotel Beau Rivage, owned by Max Julen, 1984 Olympic gold medal winner in the Giant slalom. His hotel has been family owned and operated for decades and is on the edge of that cemetery. His son said the cemetery is full of people from all over Zermatt, not just the people who died trying to climb the surrounding mountains. Those men and women are buried mainly at the base of the big church there across the street from the cemetery. His son said that many of the Julen people buried in the cemetery are not even related. It is just beautiful. One day, we watched men dig a new grave and it was fascinating to watch the care they gave to making it exact and cleaning up after they were finished. It is also fascinating to watch the family members come to water the flowers around the plots each day and light candles at night. If you can stay at Beau Rivage, it is a special treat and the restaurant has world famous Chateau Briand that is magnificent!
Wow! thank you for sharing your experience, it sounds amazing. Also, thank you for watching our video.
Congratulations for both of you with 30+ years with love. May God continue to bless you guys with all your adventures and activities.
Thank you so much for your well wishes!
Wow! Amazing! As a 14 year old kid, I visited Switzerland and was so bored. After watching your videos, I now want to go back. BTW…we are taking my niece to Paris over the Christmas holiday and it was your videos that inspired me to just buy the tickets. Hope to see you soon! Todd L.

Oh, I miss clean, safe Switzerland. I grew up in Switzerland, but live in the USA since a few years. I knew I am giving up a lot moving away from Switzerland to the US. But I was not aware of how much I am giving up an safety, healthcare and just being able to spend time outdoors and in cities without having to be afraid to get robbed or shoot to death. I hope one day I can move back to Switzerland.

Great video and love seeing your experiences! When we visited, Ethan was 4 years old, sleeping in his stroller, and we got to experience the up and down stairs of the Louvre :D
Thanks for sharing Tom.... did you get to experience the lovely Louvre parking garage? We'll never forget it ;)

Love this.. Brought back so many memories. We stayed in an apartment in Montmartre where all those steps were. We would drink a bottle of wine every night at a restaurant at the bottom of the steps prior to our hike home. From our place, you could see all of Paris.
Loved this!
Thanks, Todd!!
I really enjoyed the astrophotography segment. Tom in Tucson.

We're having a blast! Thanks for watching!
I love caves and caverns! Do you know the difference?
According to the interwebs, caverns are either a type of cave that grows "speleothems" (e.g., stalactites, stalagmites) or caverns are a collection of caves and passages between the caves.
tell that to Dwight D. Eisenhower...
Fair...I should say all U.S. presidents EXCEPT for Eisenhower

How fun! Thanks for watching!
It's not that fun I live about 1hour away and I s often not to fun when I've been there it's windy and so much sand but an a clear day it can be fun
