I’d say rewatch the fight. I’m very confident that Catterall won that fight. Yes 117-111 is not right, but there were a bunch of swing rounds so who knows. I’m interested to see round by round stats. The best fighter won tonight, trilogy needs to happen.

There were 5 rounds were Catterall outlanded Josh by more than one punch, 3 rounds where Taylor outlanded by more than one punch and 4 rounds with 1 or less punches between them. So the 117-111 means judges have basically given all swing rounds to Jack. Not saying that’s right, but I assume that’s what happened.

Catterall won both fights comfortably. In fact an English ref, Ian John-Lewis, gave the first fight to Taylor by 3 rounds and was reprimanded and downgraded by the BBBofC. Victor Loughlin, a Scottish ref, also gave the first fight to Taylor by a round but I do not recall any English fans moaning about a bad decision for a Scot by a Scot. There clearly is anti-English sentiment in Scotland driven by the surge in the scourge nationalism but the English don't give Scots much of a thought unless they are coming out with the usual shite. Like you.
