So about seeing the imperfections in your own stuff, there's this quote I read in a similar place, about how people get into making things because they have good taste, but when they start out their ability to make good things lags behind their ability to tell if the things they made are good, and it's discouraging, a lot of people quit without closing that gap. I'm still super-critical of most things I make, but I just try and roll with it

i found this video while on a MAD search to find advice on how to increase a honeycomb slip stitch bc im doing my first project back in knitting (vs crochet, my typical craft) - leg warmers that i desperately want to flare. your intro spoke to my heart and i love this !!!! and i love freehanding :) SUCH a good way to learn- and ur video helped me learn!! and i LOVED ur big sis advice . needed it today . :3

Very helpful video. Focusing on the bottom of the empty carder is something I've missed before! FYI you can say staple length is the average length of each fiber. It kinda sounded like you were saying the fibers break apart to form the staple length (which, yes, might happen when you pull like that)

I found a big bump of wool /mohair on fb marketplace for cheap that I've been learning on and it's perfect. I've heard corriedale too, and i started on it a few years ago but ended up abandoning the whole thing in a in huge cross country move. I find the wool/mohair blend so pleasant to draft and I like a really fine yarn, which I'm getting super easily even on my drop spindle. I really think it just depends on what you want. I saw Abby Franquemont give the advice of getting as many different types of fiber as you can or want to and to just not be afraid, because there are so many different cultures of spinning in the world and people have learned on all sorts of fiber in all sorts of ways. I found that super empowering. Also I LOVE your colors and your aesthetic so much 💜

Lovely video! Love the tips and your colour combo. You kept everything lovely and simple to understand ! I personally was taught to card and make rolags slightly differently to prevent the carders getting damaged and so that the rolags aren't too tight so you don't have to pull them apart so much. I need to use my drop spindle more !

I've watched like five of your videos in a row. I love your vibes and you have a nice sweet and calm voice. You talking about color and how it helps you feel better reminds me of this song: I used to live in the darkness Dress in black, act so heartless But now I see that colors are everything Got kaleidoscopes in my hairdo Got back the stars in my eyes, too Yeah, now I see the magic inside of me Yeah, maybe my head's fucked up But I'm falling right back in love with being alive Dreaming in light, light, lights This kitty cat lost her mind Been lookin' for a star-sent sign that I'll be alright Look to the skies I found a rainbow, rainbow, baby Trust me, I know life is scary But just put those colors on, girl Come and play along with me tonight It's called Rainbow by Kesha. Thank you for all of your videos. You have inspired me to start spinning! 💚💖

❤ love your unorganized spinning!! It is so creative and enjoyable 😊 Congratulations on making desicion of going to fashion school to really learn professional sewing ! I just started to learn to sew on my lste 50's and it is important to get good tecniques for sewing .. Do not create any stigmas about age when it comes to learning ! I started college at 27 years old at usa . That was my second career . The economy at that time was causing airlines companies to close down and traveling industry was on hold . My travel and tourism career was affected by the harsh economy. I had to go back to College. I studied really hard for sometime . I Graduated as a Cardio Pulmonary Therapist..and had a enjoyable career. English was a second languaje for me and I was in my 30's. I found a new group of friends that still have until now..All new doors open up ..Please, dream of the goals and all the beautiful things you will create Dream big ! Age is just a number . I met people in collegue in there 50's going to school just to fullfilled their dream of graduating ..Education has no age . Wish you all the best !! ❤ 😊

Hi Dordy, I hope you're OK xx ❣️❣️❣️ Thankyou so much for sharing this video podcast. When I knit socks, 🧦 I either knit 2 at time using magic loop, but the nethod I've used the most is by Knitting 2 at a time on 9 or 12 inch circular needles and start by doing the cuff on one and then the cuff in the 2nd one and then 10 rows on each till i get to the heels then I do one and then the other, then back to the 10 rows until the toes and then finish each of them. Especially for my son who has a size 12 uk foot. 🧦🥾 Hope this sort of helps. Happy Spinning and Knitting Fibre Friend 🎡🎉🐑🥰 Take care and stay safe Lots of love and Huge Hugs Jen xxxx ❤️❤️❤️❤️🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂🌞
