The Power of Digiscoping. Premium #Digiscoping instruments to capture cell phone footage with spotting scopes and binoculars. #magviewMoment. Check out or videos and our website to learn more.
MagViewing Nature. A day of Bird Watching, Deer, Kingfisher, Blue Heron, Turtle, Ducks, and Nutria.
Using the MagView Digiscoping adaptor (magviewgear.com/), I was able to view and capture video using my phone camera. Although many serious nature viewers will use an expensive DLSR camera, the MagView digiscoping adaptor allows a cellphone to be attached to a spotting scope or a set of binoculars so that birdwatchers and nature lovers can view and share what they see by viewing through their cell phone screen.
That makes MagView a great viewing tool and, when footage is to be saved, a recording tool as well.
Digiscoping is a fun hobby and something that can be done when someone is enjoying the outdoors. Be sure to like and subscribe, as I will be posting more footage from that day and other practical uses for the MagView Digiscoping adaptor, as well as tips and tricks for capturing and editing footage.
Gear used. Maven S.3A - 20-40X67, Camera Phone, and Slik Carbon Fiber Tripod.
One of the nicest things about digiscoping with the MagView digiscoping adaptor is sharing the experience with friends and family.

The MagView S1 Spotting Scope Adapter

The MagView S1 Spotting Scope Adapter
This thing is a piece of junk. Weak Chinese junk magnet that doesn't even come close to holding my phone in position. The only way it works is in the 6 o'clock position so my nose slams into the cap the entire time. The hinge is also cheap and doesn't support a phone causing the phone to extend the hinge past 180 degrees and making it not line up perpendicular. What a piece of crap

Does this work for the maven S2 12-27X56 or do I use the regular size Magview attachment
Says it is universal. It isn't. Way too large in diameter to use on the Nightforce TS-82. It is going back
Mine kept coming off by itself. I think because my bino case has a magnet. Then first trip out this season it fell out in the bush. So disappointing
Awesome footage. Loved the whales and pelicans. Different than what I am used to seeing with MagView products, targets and whitetails
Thank you.
Mine gets here from optics planet tomorrow for my mini razor I’m pumped 🎉
Can be placed vertically?
Yes the S1 and S1 mini can be used vertically.
Is it compatible with RAZOR HD 13-39X56 (ANGLED)?
Yes!
Spotting is spelled incorrectly on the video. Hope the QC on the product is better.
Thank you for catching that. We'll fix it.
@@magviewgear Thanks. I did purchase the product and the installation guide was very helpful.
So you can essentially choose from the multiple lenses that exist in phones today eg wide angle or main lens, etc. ?
Yes by not using the app. The main purpose of the app is to lock the lens and provide a guide to attach it, but if you bypass the app you can lock the lens you want to use. With a little practice, it's not that hard to line up the lens to the optic. ua-cam.com/play/PL2l0mCNQ_QiNAGzbi80aKoQa33VRVY4L5.html
and fucks up your compass and navigation
Very Helpful, thank you
“Made in the USA” not meaning it’ll be built with quality but extremely expensive lmao. Pass.
Any updates on when the app is going to work with the IPhone 15? App doesn’t even open “capture” it just force closes on my new phone
I have several of these they are awesome!!
This dosnt work worth a crap if you wear glasses on the swarovski atx. Once installed it hinders your eye peice from moving inward... tried to get ahold of the company via email with no response...don't recommend this product to anyone due to the fact they should have caught this issue In testing...
Were you not able to resolve that with the variable eye relief inserts?
Just curious about one thing. On the website it describes the plate as stainless. Magnets don’t stick to stainless, so I was wondering how did you guys pull that off? Is it just a steel plate that’s been coated, sealing it from rust and stains? Or was that just a misprint?
Does it automatically align the camera lens? Or do you have to fiddle with the positioning every time to get a good picture?
You’d have to set it each time.
Very cool. Saving up for one now. Any promos or upcoming sales?
Will this work with an iPhone 14 pro?
Would love to have you as a sponsor.
What a great invention. I have been taking some great photos and videos by holding my phone up to my Bino‘s, but the phone shifts in the image becomes blurry. Looks like you guys have solved my problem for hunting trips and wildlife viewing!! Can’t wait to try out this product!
There's no international shipping ... :(
Where can I buy it?
Dont!
Was excited til I saw the price. Figured you would charge $75 or something….not double that!
100 bucks for it. That’s insane, I’m not broke but I’m not stupid either haha
@@garciareviews1455 plus $15 for the magnetic plate that goes on your phone....
Does it Interfere with GPS?
Can you still look through and operate the ocular normally with that S1 adapter on it or do you have to take it off?
Can you still look through/operate the spotting scope ocular normally with the S1 adapter on it?
Yes you can and it replaced the ocular lens cover.
where are the photos after using the bino?
there are no operating instruction , none !
It’s a magnet. Not rocket science
You shouldn't own a firearm if you can't figure this out.
Looks like I know what I'm getting for my birthday in a few weeks. This is a game changer
Do you ship to Mexico
will this fit my rifle scope?
I just purchased the MagView S1 and was setting it up for a Vortex Diamondback 20x60. It seems like I need to use all 3 shims/spacers? Does that seem right?
Great concept but trying to get the system to align every time is a bit of a hassle. Also the magnets do not stay on the camera. Although it’s a strong magnet it comes off my phone multiple times. Need some quick tech tips here as I think this could be a great system and so far it’s not up to par for my set up thanks
Just spoke with the company and they have great customer service. Thanks again for the help!
With the binos in a chest rig won’t the magnet mess up a compass? Have to hold the compass way out infront of you? I got rid of a badlands chest rig that had magnet closures it never worked using a compass. Which sucks. Cool product you have tho
Guys I would love to purchase a im sure a lot of other normal hard working hunting would. I just cant justify the price for what I am getting. I am sure if you lowered your prices to make them more affordable for everyday people you would sell soooo many more adaptors.
Where can I buy in Australia please ?
About the get one of those, impressive.
How much does it weigh?
Is there a dealer in Australia? For this product
Just ordered both and some extra phone plates. What a great product, fellas! Well done!
So will this index exactly right every time or do you have to slide it around on the plate until the camera and eyepiece are properly aligned?
I doubt it, it needs to be slide it to adjust the clear picture
You slide it around until you get a clean picture. It's pretty easy once you have done it a few times
The guy on the left has me sold with his shitty attitude…send his ass back to the assembly line
Will it work on 1.5" telescope lenses?
On their website it has that answer and their size range stated was throughout the 2” range.
I noticed you don’t have a phone case, does it work better w/o it?
my guess is it would work either way as long as the magnet as a relatively flat surface to adhere too
If I attach the plate to the phone UNDER my rubber Otter case, will it still stick? Or would it be better to stick it to the Otter case itself?
The Phone Plate would be more effective on the outside of your case. This would work underneath a thinner case, but since most Otter Box cases are rather thick, going directly to the outside would work best!
It's still on "pre-order" on your site can you say when these will be available?
These are currently available. We are working on getting the wording on our website updated, but they are currently shipping if you order today!
Looks like a great idea but a bit too expensive.
It’s a buy once type of thing. No need to get special adapters or new cases if you switch ohones
