I really enjoyed this video/story, though I think it might have been better as a series. I went to University in Upstate NY, and worked across the river from NYC [in JC] for several years, and have visited the city [almost always Manhattan], often at one of the airports, numerous times. There was one major plot hole, though, the New Yorkers being kind to the aliens. In my experience if someone dropped dead or fainted on the sidewalk the locals would step over or around the victim cursing them* for being in the way. Lateness is far from being the only problem with NYC public transportation, the "Pizza Rat" has become a meme associated with the subways. Having lived overseas [East Asia and the Middle east] and visited Europe a number of times, I found the cultural misunderstanding elements amusing, but they could have been "spicier." As far as literal spice is concerned, some of the usual problems for foreigners here, and Americans overseas, are food, drink and related customs. Some of my international students found American food too sweet, too salty, too spicy, too bland, too smelly, too much, etc. True, some of these issues have been addressed in other HFY|SciFi stories, but subdividing into separate topics and/or videos would address one of the usual criticisms of these stories, repetitive words, phrases and idioms. I did like it very much, so congratulations where due! *In order to avoid offending my NYC friends and acquaintances, I should note that this slur could be applied to a number of people in most big cities. As rare as it is there, I had one bad experience each in Tokyo, Seoul, Istanbul, Firenze and one place in Germany, even though the great majority of people were polite and/or friendly everywhere. Curiously Manhattan [NYC] and Boston [MA] do have reputations that are a bit spotty, despite most people being civil.

Funny story. Aliens invade, they get crushed by mother nature's GRAVITY.

I like Sci-Fi, but, while this is amusing, it is not Sci-Fi.

Fun story. Couple notes though. There's a few parts that are inconsistent and repetitive and overall it runs on longer than it should with some platitudes. Fix those issues and it'd be a great short story

hate to say it but this one is unrealistic they didnt invade and get repelled they didnt destroy assets or slight us they committed genocide even if the colony was so small they couldn't be considered a people humans have gone to war over far less than the murder of innocent lives they never would have made it onto that ship humanity wouldve massacred them at least once think Hiroshima and Nagasaki times a million the us did that after being forced into the war by an unprovoked attack that claimed the lives of over 2400 people including 68 civilians and you think any xeno scum could vaporize and number of humans and get away with it we would watch them burn not all of them but any and all military we came across would be slaughtered humans may have had time to grow up weaponize paper work all a good laugh and i honestly believe theres a chance that is what wed be like until the split second they jeopardize human lives mockery, annoyance and bureaucracy is gone we can learn to be awesome but all this death will have taught us one thing and thats something like that isnt something that counts as an accident life is irreplicable they would BURN

Oh they have not met Florida Man. Then add in every "Man" from every southern coastal state. Plus the pets we have, both domesticated and not. And the weather. But I love you threw in "Hold my beer" which goes along with "Watch this...". Usually preceded by "You think I could..." and it then it progresses until someone or something gets hurt.

Gawd Australia isn’t dangerous. Just check your shoes, don’t drive through water in a flood and listen to bushfire warnings - leave when they say, swim between the flags so you don’t get caught in a rip and if in the NT don’t swim in the rivers so crocs don’t catch you, you’ll be fine.
