I'm pretty sure that the majority of people, especially in the “Western democracies”, will be amazed at what Hitler actually said. They wouldn't believe you if you didn't show them the original speeches, because it differs too much from what they think they know about this man. This is because you almost exclusively hear only the supposedly bad things about him or only know the most “aggressive” quotes from him. What is interesting here is that when you suddenly hear things that you are not used to hearing from him or that may even seem positive, many assume that he only said this or that because he is a liar, wanted to seduce people and all this just to wage war later. Instead of assuming that he actually said something that he meant and could be approved of, the opposite is always assumed because it doesn't fit in with what you have been taught from an early age through school, the media, and society. This is not meant to be a judgment, just an observation that I have made all too often. Nevertheless, I don't want to whitewash Hitler's vest here, but rather point out from a different perspective that not everything is as we were taught. :)

@@GermanSpeeches The main problem with Hitler is as follows - his speeches are overshadowed by the horrors I've seen when walking though the Auschwitz death camps made and designed by germans. Some things cannot be forgotten, especially when you realise that your family tree is bunch of pure luck and accident from the '39-'45 era.

That's true and at the same time quite shocking. From a historical perspective, it only happened very recently. It's our great-grandparents' and grandparents' generation. It is already astonishing how thinking and life changed in Germany in the 1950s alone. The reason for this should be well known. And the difference between today and back then is even more gigantic. It's fair to say that pretty much every area of life has changed dramatically since then.

By the way, I would like to say that if you write such an inhuman and insulting comment again, I will delete your comments in the future. It also implies that you only want to provoke, rather than being interested in a sensible discussion. Thirdly, every living being in this world has the same right to live and no human being, who was given life in the first place, has the right to take the life of another.
