you present the weather forcast very well thank you xxxxx
Such a enthusiastic presenter, makes bad weather sound not so bad after all!
Well thank you for saying so! 😃
I when America "Sneezes" we end up with "Stormy Weather"
I hope they never get the flu...😬
No it isn't.
Looking less likely with every run of the model.
Oh no, Wednesday could be very blowy and rainy. Thats a skirt alert day for me then, I be defiantly wearing my leggings and shorts under my skirt or dress in case of those marilyn Monroe moments. I also better take my sturdy windproof umbrella xx
No hats either.
@@SqRaindrop I have my chiffon scarf to tie my hat on my head when its windy. But I can imagine there will be a lot of umbrellas getting blown inside out and breaking x 🌧🌧🌬🌬☂🌂👒👒
Titles don't have full-stops at the end?!
Yep
Thank you , looks like indoor jobs next week
Ooh, might be able to get out on the bike, tomorrow...thermals included!!

That does appear to be the overall theme of the weather at the moment...although today was actually ok!
Brilliant! See you all the in the Peugeot Hoggar.
Much awesomeness! 👍❤️
Fantastic!!!
Just what the apothecary ordered ! Thanks Steph .
Given the weather we've had in the last week, I'm amazed that the weather is looking so good!
This is incredible!!!! Thank you so much
My pleasure! I'm always here in you need a forecast 😉
Ha! Love it. Thank you.
My pleasure!
Don't know if I can use 👍.
Brrrrrr……
Roll on the winter.
Not quite sure I'm ready for that level of daylight hours...but then I guess no one ever is! Probably explains why the UK in October is full of people running around saying, "Isn't it getting dark early!"
Yep, the nights are fair drawing in. Best time of the year.@SqRaindrop
Why is the met unable to give forcasts these days? They are not good after spending a fortune on new computers. 😂
Unable to give a forecast? In what way? I'm curious now!
nice to see the crap weather is coming just in time for my days off again 😤
At least I got my house painted when I was off last week .
Well done for not freezing!
Thanks for the good news!
@@SirPrancelot1 The pleasure’s all mine!

Ground-breaking stuff.
Oboe! Wow, Josh plays the oboe too. He chose it because he was told it was the most difficult instrument.
It's WHAT?!? Well I never knew that! Mia's first reed lasted approximately half an hour before she chomped it. She had her first lesson yesterday, and now is now an expert on putting it together, cleaning it, and putting it away again!
@@SqRaindrop it it's certainly very technical. Fun fact: because you don't blow very much air through the reed, you need to exhale properly before you breathe in again, otherwise, you can easily get light headed. So if you don't want your aspiring oboeist to expire, make sure they aspirate properly.
@@julianfday Our honking swan just blows as hard as she can at the moment. Hopefully it’ll start sounding more musical soon!
@@SqRaindrop Nat says (rather unfairly) that Josh sounds like a duck. Prokofiev would probably be ok with that.
At least the cat's position is known. At least for the present I know where the car and associated keys are. I am not entirely certain where the oboe is but it won't be far.
Mia's learnt to 'honk' on her oboe, so I am never in any doubt as to where it is!
I’m afraid slugs and snails get a dose of salt here .
Good plan. Mine fly over the fence. (If there are any neighbours reading this, this is definitely not true.)
Plum Jam?
Yes! And can you make fig jam too?
Is there any truth to a claim made my my sister from Lincolnshire that here in Bolton Lancs, I should probably have observed the same blanket of cloud most of the year, which she claims is from all the melting ice? I asked ChatGPT, which I know has it's flaws, but for what it's worth, it said this is highly unlikely, along with a fairly comprehensive explanation why. I might as well post what ChatGPT said in case there is anything worth correcting or confirming but I should point out I remembered her comment incorrectly, which is why the response goes on about mist rather than cloud. I don't want to take up your valuable time so maybe you can just give it a 5 out of 10 or whatever score you think Chat GPT's response deserves. Thanks, if you are able to comment but no obligation if you'd rather not. Her specific claim was: "I don't know if you've noticed the blanket of cloud that we've had for most of the past year, but that's the extra water in the atmosphere from all of the melted ice," Chat CPT's response when I accidentally misquoted her as saying mist rather than blanket of cloud: "The claim that the mist or haze in the sky over Lincolnshire (or anywhere else in the UK) is specifically due to melting glaciers or ice caps is highly unlikely, for several reasons: 1. Atmospheric Moisture Sources: The water vapor in the atmosphere typically comes from more immediate sources like local bodies of water (oceans, seas, rivers, lakes) and soil evaporation. The UK, surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean and with its numerous water bodies, naturally has a significant amount of atmospheric moisture, contributing to cloud formation and mist. Glacial or ice cap meltwater primarily enters the ocean and contributes to sea level rise rather than directly increasing atmospheric moisture in specific regions like the UK. While global climate patterns are influenced by large-scale glacial melting, attributing local mist directly to this source is a significant leap. 2. Weather Patterns: The UK’s weather is highly variable and influenced by the North Atlantic Ocean, which is a more likely source of the moisture that could cause mist or haze. The UK experiences frequent mist due to its temperate maritime climate, especially in autumn and winter when cooler air meets warmer ground. Seasonal weather patterns, including high-pressure systems, can cause haze and mist by trapping pollutants and moisture in the lower atmosphere. This phenomenon is common and well-understood without needing to invoke melting glaciers as the cause. 3. Scientific Understanding: Current scientific understanding does not link specific weather conditions like mist or haze in a particular region directly to glacial melting. While the melting of glaciers and polar ice contributes to broader climate change, its effects are global and manifested over longer timescales and through more complex processes. The impact of glacial melting is more commonly observed in terms of sea-level rise, changes in ocean currents, and shifts in weather patterns rather than localized increases in mist or haze. Conclusion: It’s very unlikely that the mist your sister observes is directly caused by melting glaciers or ice caps. The more probable causes are local and regional weather patterns, typical of the UK's climate. If your sister is attributing these observations to climate change more broadly, it would be more accurate to discuss the overall increase in atmospheric moisture due to warming temperatures, but even that wouldn't specifically link to visible mist in one region. For a more grounded discussion, it might help to look at regional weather reports and data from meteorological sources to understand the common causes of mist and haze in your area."
You might make a fortune if you patented an "emergency sock hatch" high up in the washer door - a kind of bath plug but posher, with a picture of a sock on it and a tick beside it, and a picture of a towel with a big red X over it to prevent people expecting too much of your invention. Oh no - I've just realised this would be a horrible child hazard, so scrub that idea. (I don't mean a hazard to horrible children - I think you know what I meant.)
Our last Washer (a Samsung Addwash) had one. Sadly, it was a terribly unreliable washing machine.
@@therealunclevanya I was only joking and yet it already exists - had to Google it to see it - Very grateful you mentioned.
Ours was a Bosch washer dryer. I say 'was', the dryer bit no longer works, so it's been downgraded to a washing machine.
Looks like I'm gonna have to build my "indoor tent" again - only dismantled it in May - June. One of the few advantages of being a single old bloke who doesn't care about appearances - you can save a few bob on electric by living like a hobo in your own house lol. Sadly, the savings have to go to helping out a young Mum who's electric and gas is always going off - They can't be expected to live like me.
My kids love it when we camp out in the lounge! We don't tend to get much sleep though. ☹️ Well done for helping that young Mum though. I'm sure she's very lucky to have a friend like you.
No detrimental effects?!!! Spaying toxic chemicals like aluminium oxide and graphene into our atmosphere is good for us then you think? you're living in the 1950's.. these days it's HAARP and Chemicals.......

hello ladies rain rain and more rain in Ireland never remember a summer as bad its been awful
It's certainly been ropey! Especially when you compare it with last year - it was quite nice in Ireland last summer wasn't it?
A bit of paint came off and we lost a couple of hooks for bungee cords too. You can keep the paint peel, but the hooks would be useful, if you see them.
Hahaha. Ok, so as Ernesto passes over us, everyone look out for my brother's hooks! if anyone sees them, he'd be really grateful!
