Summary: Frank Sinatra, apparently playing himself, takes a "smoke" break from a recording session. He sees more than 10 boys chasing a Jewish boy and intervenes, first with dialogue; then with a little speech. His main points are that we are "all" Americans and that just one American's blood is as good as another, all our religions are equally to be respected. (The film was made to oppose anti-Semitism and racial prejudice at the end of World War II.) Sinatra sings two songs : "If you are but a dream" (words and music by Moe Jaffe, Jack Fulton, Nat Bonx; melody based on Anton Rubinstein's "Romance in E flat, Op. 44, No. 1," popularly known as "Rubenstein's Romance") and "The house I live in" (music by Earl Robinson, lyrics by Lewis Allan). "Frank Sinatra in brotherhood musical short from 1945 written by Albert Maltz, later blacklisted as leftist RKO Academy Award winner"--Summary from J. Fred MacDonald and Associates film inventory.❤

This is wonderful. As a Canadian I see the true message. All Americans are equal, All Americans should work together to make their country better. Don't let one man destroy your Country. Take the Blinders off. America has fallen out of grace with the World. Time to get rid of your Gov. and put in a different one.
Just finished watching "The Plot Against America", a 6 episode series on HBO. From start to finish ... GREAT story. If you don't know it, WATCH📺 IT. Don't read📗 about it before you start, go into with blinders on. WOW! What a great trip it's been, the end will make you proud🇺🇸 and cry😭 (my new favorite song). 5★
Sung the year his divorce from Ava Gardner was made official... that last verse, wow... estranged, on different continents, with different partners, they still called each other and lamented their 'marital fate' throught the 1950's and into the 1960's... they couldn't live together and yet the base line yearnings and curiosities burned for the rest of their respective lives... fascinating pair...
"All races and religions, that's America to me." Alright so the elephant in the room: If you're a Sinatra fan voting for Trump, its time you did some serious soul searching. Slow curtain, the end. Edit: Frank's daughter Nancy confirmed on twitter that Frank would've been adamantly against Trump. Kiss off, Alt Reich
Want to follow along???? here's the words: I make a date for golf - You can bet you life it rains. I try to give a party - And the guy upstairs complains. I guess I'll go thru life; Just catchin' colds and missin' trains, Ev'rything happens to me. I never miss a thing - I've had measles and the mumps. And ev'ry time I play my ace - My partner always trumps. I guess I'm just a fool; Who never looks before he jumps, Ev'rything happens to me. At first my heart tho't; You could break this jinx for me. That love would turn the trick; To end my despair. But now, I just can't fool; This head that thinks for me. I've mortgaged all my castles in the air. I've telegraphed and called; I sent air mail special, too; You answer was goodbye - And there was even postage due. I fell in love just once; And then it had to be with you, Ev'rything happens to me.
This beautiful music takes me back to my great youth from school, into the Royal Navy and beyond ,everything happens to me is the song that was written for me, a lot was my own undoing, ho hum. Still going, as Francis, albert, said "that's life". ,
Better than being a jackass, like the one who can't see how these songs helped win WW2. But it's ok, you're probably sore because your precious Third Reich lost
+Friedrich Schmidt Why so sour? It was a product of the time. Everyone (now and then) knows it's a propaganda song. Germany also had lots of propaganda songs and movies that celebrated German pride and defeat of US/UK/whoever and they are probably uploaded somewhere now (if not already on UA-cam). The song has already served its purpose back then. Now we enjoy it because of Frankie's voice and the music, not the message.
[ears fall off from high pitched ringing]
He did not serve in WW2 so I wonder about him and not favorably.
Sinatra was disqualified from service in WWII (for a busted eardrum, mastoids, and emotional instability).

The Berlin to Tokyo part is best
I have a slightly different version in which Frank stands on a stage in front of a curtain.
Upload it prick
There'll be a hot time in the town of Beijing
Is it a Fallout reference? (Just kidding)
China was a major player in WWII before it fell to Communism, I had relatives who were killed by the Japanese
Moscow more like it
Nope bolsjewiks did and rape jippie
I always like the sets on these old fifties shows. Sinatra did this song four times on three different record labels.

It’s a song 🫠

He was deemed unfit for military service because of a pierced eardrum
A song we all need to hear today!
Wow look how young he is! 23 or 24?
He’s 28-29 in this

How beautiful. Thank you Frank Sinatra
How in hell can anyone give a thumb down to this. A real jerk.

I´m very thankful for the upload of this stupid, ugly song.
Ah go back to Hitler Fredrick! This song is great and Sinatra will always be alive through his music! You gave us a treasure here Mike
It will always be a cultureless, ignorant song. But it´s okay, Frank was young and needed the money. And you two are idiots.
