I looked all over the earth and back for this karaoke file and couldn't find the Glee version of this song that was in true karaoke format, and finally decided to make my own. It's simple but effective, hope you all enjoy!

Usually, artists record multiple parts of a song at different times and stack them. If you used a converter to make a regular song into a karaoke one, then it would take off that first layer - which was used the entire song except 2:33 - and leave other layers alone. Maybe that's what happened. I don't know, I'm not a professional or anything, but I hope this helps.
