Using a power window motor from a gm car and a coupler I had laying around. Electronic motor speed controller to power it.

absolute titanium balls of steel on this mfr right here
Hi, im trying to do the same thing, i got a motor, but it is only the motor without the wires, it has 8 pins. it came out of a 2001 audi a6. how i can i figure out which pin i should connect the + and - ? thank you for the answer in advance!
This is awesome, but how are you stopping the motor spinning after you've complete the full turn, surely the motor will still want to keep spinning ??? Let me know, as this is something i'm looking at for one of my projects. Thanks
It will continue to try to rotate until you stop it with the remote, this was a super quick low effort project that i was too lazy to putting any extra effort into lol.
To make it stop you need a servo if you are doing what I did using a remote control transmitter and receiver for a rc car. There are ways to turn a motor into a servo though.
Nice design!
What is the part number for the motor? Please put in the description. Thanks.
That’s just a power window motor from some gm car or truck that was laying around in my scrap pile. And then I bolted a love joy coupler half to it to give me some round thing to wrap a cable around. I’m sure someone has a lot better option to this by now! Looking back at it I know I could do something better now days.
I had no idea how bad would be at driving. When i add some power, rc steering is 100% necessary
My daughters power wheels steering motor keeps blowing. Gonna install a mechanical steering instead of this shiny 12v motors
So there wasn’t a string or anything holding it in the air?
Nope, no trickery here, just science
Yes, I'd love to see any more of these! We live on Ashby not far down from the party store.
Please keep uploading these today! Our house is on Ashby near there. This is the only way we have a view of the flooding, many thanks!!!!

What did you use to set that up I need that setup on my kids Jeep hurricane I put nematic tires and now it has so much traction they can’t steer
What size lovejoy coupler is that?
Can't thumb the vid without a time, bike wins.
Superb
Its a convex lens
what speed and revs were you doing this at?
Jason Leo around 10mph and 1000rpm plus or minus a few of each. I haven't rode it yet this year so my memory is fuzzy. Planning on selling it though. Not enough free time.
mds9185 cheers mate. I tried it ages ago but couldn't remember. first I thought you said 10,000 and I was like what the hell. guess its practice time.
I just used an electronic speed control for a rc car connected to the radio receiver. Since that is not setup like servo it will not return to center on its own. However with some research you can find how to build a servo from a motor online, lots of people have done it, I just didn't feel I needed that at the time.
i am in a group for go baby go, we need to make a power wheels for a disabled kid who cant walk. We need to make the steering remote controlled and i am wondering how you did this. Please get back to me. this would be super helpful.
I would like to know how you did this. I'm building on myself and having trouble figuring this part out.
Way too hot for turbo. Id say just about killed it.
Can you send me more details on the controller you used for this. I'm trying to build one for my daughter with cerebral palsy but I want the ability for little cousin to drive also.
Nice lens you got there is it a linear or spot lens? If its a linear you can sand and polish the linear lines off the back side and make it into a hi-powered spot lens that will metal rock, glass and metal. I got a 48 incher that was once a linear and converted it to a spot lens. Visit my channel and click on my Fresnel lens playlist
holy shit! sliding back end on power mid wheelie!! respec
My St surprised me. During a full throttle acceleration in 3rd gear, I shifted and dropped the clutch in 4th, and the front wheel started coming off the ground. Not much, but still was one hell of a surprise.
Nice one! The ST is the most under-rated bike in the world (IMHO). Problem with doing wheelies on them is, once you know how it's hard not to... SO much FUN!!!
The glowing is not due to "power creep", they will all glow red in the dark if the turbo is hotter than about 950 F, like at peak hp.
Nice!
They are nice bikes. I highly recommend replacing the air filter with a K&N, it really helps with the fuel economy. I find my seat uncomfortable after 30 miles also.
AWESOME!! I just bought a 2012 last Saturday. I took off hard and when I hit 2nd the front came off the ground a little! WooHooo! can't wait till Spring to really get it off the ground!
Taking off in a hurry away from a light can also do this on an ST. Hardly the sort of machine you want to do it on but it still makes me grin like a 14 year old with his hands in his pockets!
Well done for trying it but she doesn't look happy up there. Starts waving left and right quite soon so I'd be tempted to remove the hard bags. I do remember a Triumph Rocket 3 being wheelied with the licence plate being ground in to powder.
@InsanityHere Start out on a light bike that has enough power to lift the front wheel by rolling on the throttle and ALWAYS hover your foot over the rear brake just incase you go beyond the balance point you can hit the brake to bring the front down before you loose all the skin off your butt. I've been over backwards at least six times or so on dirt bikes, and I've learned gravel hurts! Pavement hurts worse so I've heard, I don't want to find out for myself, so knock on wood.....
@mds9185 Most impressive. I would sure like to learn to do wheelies on my '83 V65 Magna. I bought it with low miles, late last year, and have since put 5K miles on it. Do you have any tips for an older man who wants to start doing wheelies?
@InsanityHere I'm not a cop. I was 27 when this video was shot. My neighbor was also impressed, and he's a cop! I have been riding since I was 4. I will be doing another video sometime with the trunk and saddle bags off soon. I will most likely do it at the drag strip to see how far I can ride it. Last time I had it at the track I ran the 1/4 at 127mph in 11.27sec. I think If I ride the clutch I can get it into the high 10's.
@viggoM35 Well lets see um..How bout accelerating with a phone in your hand taking video? Would a college professor think its stupid? Yes. Would a 17 year old german kid think its stupid? No. You put it together. Hey I have been the pot and kettle many times-but I admit it. take care and cover that melon and buy a GoPro.
@tangledline Well.. let's see... um... I have one video where I am showing a demo of a bike for sale riding at 5 mph tops, and in a court. Which is a dead end street. So I'm not riding wheelies nor doing excessive speeds on a busy public street or highway.
@viggoM35 Guess you haven't viewed any of your own videos lately? At least this person wears a helmet....
nice... but next time do it without the trunk on! It's a bit harder to hold it up without the trunk balancing it out.
@viggoM35 Please don't judge so harshly. Look at that road. It's not the Washington DC beltway or anything like that. And the rider showed good skill on that 7 or 800 pound bike (whatever it is). I bet it was a cop. A cop that can ride wheelies.
I can do this. All except for the wheelie part.
I don't think "balls" more like "stupidity"... I'd used a sport or stunt bike for that. Also on a track or closed course. Remember, normal traffic won't be expecting this kind of behavior on a public roadway. The car or truck always wins in this situation when you make a mistake. With this kind of thinking, a good helmet is being put to waste.
BALLS OF STEEL
No effing way!!!! a PBR?!?!? Best beer ever!
That is very impressive, and the Brass Balls Award goes to! They guy on the ST riding big ass whoolies!
hahahahaha... freaking hilarious! nicely done!
