Most of the time its a mad house here, so we recently bought a 90 series Landcruiser Prado and we are heading offroad in search of new adventures with our kids along for the ride.
Follow along as we search for fun tracks, awesome views and fun for families. We are also slowly upgrading our rig and will update on our progress as we go!

Took the boys for a beach day trip down to South Ballina Beach over the long weekend. Awesome weather and so much fun. You will notice our new upgraded rims, fully stoked with how good they look. We did manage to Capture the damage we caused on camera this time (pardon the french lol) Hope you Legends enjoy our latest adventure. Scenic Rim Adventure Park 4x4 day trip, September 2020. Our 90 series Prado hits some tracks for a bit of dusty fun with the kids along for the ride once again. We did manage to break two mud guards, damage a side step and one of the flares over the front wheel (whoops!) But we had an awesome day, and only 1.5 hours from home on the tweed/GC border. Shoutout to Scenic Rim Adventure Park! Absolu...

Testing out our new toy in strong coastal winds at pottsville Beach, New South Wales, Australia. Even though there were strong coastal winds, the footage is surprisingly steady. Super stoked with this drone. Golden hour produced the goods at sunset while the boys ran a muck as usual

90 SERIES PRADO'S FIRST 4X4 TRIP TO SOUTH BALLINA BEACH
I have one Prado V6 VX 3.4L Engine 5VZ-FE It's like new just 120,000Km
Prados always do better at pace and starting in second..rear locker sets them off..watch out for ball joints and get a 6mm alloy bash plate..first thing to go will be steering fluid if u don't from getting squashed..I know I've got one..also holding your foot on the brake and accelerator when taking off will spool the torque converter and allow u to take off better in tricky situations and dragging the brake while going over rough stuff will take the rocking out of it keeping the wheels on the ground..always aim to keep the two front wheels on the ground with open diffs..and take lines like a dirt bike coz they're light..ruts are hard on the cvs
Get a couple of 5 tonne hand winches..cheap as and u can pull any direction..those prados are awesome even as ifs..rubber boots don't like bog holes though

Thank you 😀 i dont think felt underpowered on this trip i just needed better tyres more lift and a locker of two that hill was very steep
i recently just turned 16, and i took my dads prado off him. I love it its stock except the tires, snorkel and all that only has 89,000 KM on it its a 1997 3.4L v6 quad cam.

Im running 265/75/16 AT for now. But hopefully upgrading to 285/75/16 soon
Wow! What a trip! Seriously good driving, and I was shocked at what the mighty 90 could do. Really enjoyed this video. Did you add a rear diff lock or is it a limited slip disk only?
Thank you. After driving my 90 off road for the first time i was so surprised at what it was capable of in stock form. I've only got a lsd diff at the moment plan to get a rear lock diff next tax time lol
@@jlee141288 same, lsd is pretty useless offroad, no TRC also, so difflock is the only option for us
@@47Lancelot the toyota lsd is rubbish, its worn open in no time. As the old joke goes if you want to use the LSD in your 90, do it on the way home from the dealer before it wears open! :)
What year prado do u guys have and is it stock,r there any mods done to it or her
His prado is exactly like my but my has spot lights and all that but stock rims but offroad tires to hes is fully stock but the tires and rims are not

Just fitted a snorkel this week, we've never had any issues though. Will be more confident now but

Great to see the 90 having fun! Currently camping with mine. Would love to do more 4wding with it but my son is shit scared of it. How do your kids go with it?
We would love to get out and do some camping too! Our kids love it now! They were scared at first but we took it slow and now they love it

I haven't watched yet. I'm going to guess that the Patrol would have the advantage. I'm a 90 series owner. Now I'm going to watch. 🙂
In most situations the Patrol would have the advantage but he is only new to driving a 4wd off road so we didn't do anything to hard. The trip was just to get his confidence up and to have a bit of fun lol hope you like the video 😀 hopefully in a couple weeks we are going to head up to Glasshouse

How is the fuel consumption in this vehicle?
Id say about 13.5L to 12.5 per 100ks i think 550 to 600ks from full to fuel light

Looks like you all had a great day, but don't park your vehicle on vegetation or encourage your kids to pull it out of the ground. Parking on vegetation or driving above the high tide mark is not permitted. Ballina locals and the council are trying to close this beach down to vehicle access entirely, if you want to keep it open for your kids future, educate them on the importance of responsible behaviour to minimise environmental impacts. I also agree you need more lift and bigger tyres :P

I'm between 2 90s cars Land Cruiser Prado or Mitsubishi Montero (Pajero) Wich one should I get?
Both good cars but the prado wins for me i did weeks research on both cars and the prado was just the best choice for me the gxl model like my one has a sub tank so 150 litres of fuel for these long trips away and the v6 will go on for ever if you look after it but its really up to you mate. Best thing to do is have a look at both and drive both then decide

Nice Prado mate! I have exact same. Same colour and similar rims on 32's with 2" dobinsons lift kit. If u plan on putting a lift kit in yourself be aware the rear shocks are a pain in the butt to install.

Thank you. No just wheels roof rack so still stock lol and i with it had a diff. As far as i know the Australian models didn't come with factory diff locks

Good day mate, got the same vehicle stock, what would you recommend as an upgrade?
It really depends on what you're using your vehicle for.... We did the awning and roof rack first so we could do beach trips with the kids (we have 5, so needed the roof space lol.) We have added recovery points and got some maxtrax to help get us out of trouble since we have no lockers. Then the rims were our most recent upgrade and they were purely for the aesthetics. Next, were hoping to put a 2 inch lift in her and perhaps slightly bigger tyres with maybe more aggressive all terrain tread or even mud terrain tyres. But personally, just consider what you wanna do in the vehicle and start with things that will help you achieve that!
