Automatic Zen Garden - DIY Sisyphus Table
Переглядів 58 тис.4 роки тому
I apologize to any real engineers watching... Turn on captions! Sable is an automatic kinetic art table made to trace patterns reminiscent of traditional Japanese-style Zen gardens. Or at least, what a five year old thinks a Zen garden is like. Designed and constructed from scratch over a course of three months, Sable employs a CNC XY base to drag a magnetic platform below the top surface. The ...

did you need LAANC permit to fly here?
Wow! Great video! Not to brag but we're really pretty! :-)
please share wiring ...🙏🙏
Piece of cake. I’m going to start making one tomorrow. 🤥
Lorry sir good project
Pls make rgb p10 clock
Excellent Keep it up
What program did you use to make the case?
I use Fusion360 for CAD, and my 3D printing slicer of choice is Cura!
Nice build! :) I've never seen an ESP32 with cooling fins. Does it get too hot?
It doesn’t really get too hot, but I added them just in case!
@@larryjing The cooling fins make it look more industrial 😀👍
Super cool! I have wanted to make something like this for a while. Ima take a gander at your code now.
Dude, I was waiting for another video from you, I haven't seen this video yet, but I was just happy to know that You made something new.
you have to print a case that will fit into a drive bay......please
Great job! This is so cool! It would be really neat if there was a way to set custom timers and maybe even a speaker/beeper so it could be used as a timer for timed drawing exercises.
Totally agree - these are things I want to add in the near future!
Very Cool! Keep it up

hello larry
Amazing work, looks like You've put in a lot of effort building it, not to mention the time it takes to model in solid works, the result is dope and satisfying, thank you for putting this up on the internet.
Wow, kind of relaxing and calming, thanks for sharing! Easy to fall asleep! :)
Subscribed. This is amazing. And in my opinion makes me wonder why Sisyphus charges such OUTRAGIOUS prices when all the coding, materials and bugs are already worked out. But amazing job, keep it up.
Hello is it possible to order such table from u
no
any stl?
Seriously informative. 😀🤙
The limit switches you are using can also be operated in NC mode. I strongly encourage you to use them this way: 1. You will notice a broken or missing connection immediately (not after your desk has torn itself apart, since the closed limit switch does not registered because of the missing connection) 2. They are far less susceptible to interference since a static current is drawn
Very nice build? However, the balls motion is quite jerky. Have you experimented with heavier balls / stronger magnets / less sand?
Coca Cola Contract with china and the Command and Conquer DVD backed Up So The Typhoon Submarines and Boomer Submarines and the Battle Ships Aircraft Carriers Mobile Repair Submarine Pens the PT Boats this is where you would live.
Heh. Caption at 4:38...
wooooowwww!!!!!
Your video help me so much thanks. This is my sandtable project ua-cam.com/video/gickigJBshE/v-deo.html
Nice build and explanation at the end. Shielded cable helps for the limit switch false trigger issue. Good luck with the future.

I'm a 'real' engineer and that's a very impressive design-build. Good work!
Awesome stuff dude - I think you've inspired me to try something like this myself!
Great breakdown at the end
Epic!!!
Nice! I wanna make one now. Are you going to put the code on GitHub?
Yep after the coffee I was over it. Wish you actually spoke about what you made, really annoyed
Thanks for the feedback; I spoke a bit near the end of the video about some of the build process but if that's not what you're looking for feel free to watch another one of the hundreds of similar videos on this site.
@@larryjing I think this guy missed half of the video lol.
Finna be back here when this blows up king
Your 3d printer is poorly lvled and the temp setting arent that good... Just for ur imformation ;)
can someone dumb this down for me, i want one but my nose started bleeding when he started explaining
He kinda build a moving structure comparable to a 3d printer using x and z axis (x and y also possible but in my opinion x and z is easier to do). Combining that with a magnet he can control under the table hes able to move the metal ball throught the wood. Its actually using most of the parts you are gonna find in an ender 3 or other 3d printers. For example the stepper motor, boundary mechanism, and other moving parts. Pretty smart way to create something like that with pretty inexpensive and widely available parts. ( I may be wrong with some things so please forgive me lmao)
How does it sound live? Are the motors loud?
It's actually fairly quiet! Most of the noises come from the vibrations in the frame as well as the sound of the ball rolling, not the motors.
Sweet will you be posting the how to video and g code to make it ourselves?
I'd like to make a large one that will work as a desk for my computer
Very cool!!
Totally subscribed, very good keep on the good work
halo, can i ask how to shoot portrait video with drone? and what drone you use to shoot this video? thanks. because im use dji spark and camera cant shoot portrait video.
The DJI application has a button to change the camera to portrait mode for the Mavic Pro.
Fascinated work! Use technology to build some artificial is very nice.
cool. you can convert the geared steppers to bi polar by just cutting the little trace
不错!
Nice build Larry! I've built a sand table myself and during my research process I created a pretty extensive list of other sand table builds on UA-cam. I've added your video to my playlist at ua-cam.com/play/PLvB5haKJbU3gAIbd7pgwSGlissy1iIUOg.html.
