Little man-my friend. Cutest shih tzu in the universe. He’s 2 years old now. Always brightens my day when he visits the garden. Even my cat lives him.

I have a wild Goldendoodle puppy that I planned to groom myself but I’m having second thoughts.Tried getting some of the hair near his eyes and he just freaks out! 😭😭😭
You are so sweet and patient with her! Just made me smile and she is so like my sweet girl Daphne! Poodles are the best and soo smart!🩵💜🩵
I don't suppose you are in Central Florida? We are adopting a standard poodle & we'll need a groomer with a LOT of patience to get our furry friend's coat clean & matt-free. We want her 1st experience with grooming to be as comfortable as possible.
YOU are the BEST groomer I've ever seen on all of UA-cam! There's another groomer on YT that needs to watch and learn from you!! Her channel is Rover's make over dog grooming and I watched her rip the hair right out of a poodles ears! I wanted to go through the screen I was so mad when I saw that, so thank you for being AWESOME!!!!
I like a clean shaven face, especially for female. Her face still needs work. ❤
6 months.. dog grows in speed of light. she must have added 500% of weight within 6 months. in human, it is like a baby to teens body within 6 months .. crazy!
The constant advertising in this short video is unbearable👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
How old is she?
I have no idea how you can use a clippervac with a guard on fur that hasn't been thoroughly brushed out. I haven't finished the video but like, it would snag on every little tangle. O.O She sounds really tangled up too, hearing you run the slicker over her. She looks like such a beautiful, well mannered little girl!
Wait, you said the owner wanted 1 inch left, then you did a 1 comb, which is half an inch. O.o I'm confused.
You’re so good with them.❤
Great Video.
This is so sweet!
What is that pulley this called that keeps the hose out of the way?
First time sub and like. Your wonderful with the dogs. I just brought a mini chocolate poodle.
I like Precious pre-groomed - so fluffy! If I was her owner, will probably ask for a trim only.
Yes fluffy and beautiful. Soft puppy hair but soon adult coat will come. Important for her to become accustomed to the process so she will be able to handle it. Wish I could post a photo of a few months later with her beautiful face shaved… wearing one of my hats!
New Subscriber here and so blessed to have found you! I watch a bunch of tutorials on not only grooming but to get as much information as I can to learn to take care of a standard poodles every need. My husband and I have 3 poodles ranging from tiny teacup to Toy and my daughter has 2 toy poodles. I just found and purchased, after a lot of searching an researching, a Standard Size Female Standard Poodle for my husbands 70th Birthday. We will be getting her on the 11th of December and more than excited to get her. After binge watching all of these tutorials for a few months now, I can honestly say that you are amazing! I am going to share you with as many people as I know because you should definitely have more subscribers. I just can't thank you enough for sharing your knowledge and love for these babies.
That’s awesome! Dec 11 is right around the corner. You must be dying with anticipation. Brush your baby every day. With her lying across your lap, on the floor, on a table. Use a soft pin slicker brush with coated tips. Keep it short and sweet. Have treats. TELL HER HOW AWESOME SHE IS! Then you will be guaranteed a fabulous outcome. It’s really so simple. They just want to wow us, so show her she does. 🥰
You need a different clipper!
Great idea.
What a helpful and informative video. 1) how to patiently groom a young dog - take a break if needed and/or call in reinforcements to maintain safety 2) why puppies need some grooming desensitization at young age - to head off grooming anxiety. Thank you for sharing - Precious looks perfect❣️
Since working out of my garden one on one with my dogs, I see so much clearer what the dog is thinking and feeling. My heart has grown more compassionate
This is wonderful. You have such a love for grooming. It shows. I had to start grooming my own merle poodle and I'm always looking for better tips. You did a great job. I love your clippers. Nothing I seem to use will go through our curly coat. It's frustrating. What do you use?
What kind of clipper are you using? I like all of my clippers but each one for different things. I have used Andes clippers for a long time and that is what I have hooked up to my clipper vac. This year I bought a cordless Heinigger. German, $400 not worth it. Save your $$$. However I also tried a Wahl KM 10. I love it. So light weight. Recommend you get a wide 5F blade. Shaves super smooth-mine is a Buttercut. Love that blade ! Ps A client recently brought his clipper in and the blade was completely rusted over. I asked him how often he oiled his blade but he said it didn’t even come off of the clipper as far as he knew. I think I will post a short video showing how to oil blades. Very important.
Thank you for this video. I have a 12 week old ALD. Would you post the clipper setting you used. I’m wondering how long the hair on her body was after you used the razor. 😊
Yes. I will pull her card and let you know what length I used on her.
I’ll give you a big ole like because I love how you are so kind to the poochies.
Sweet! So important to have such a kind and gentle groomer for their first grooms.
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
That baby is so photogenic, he's giving me serotonin! 😁
You are without doubt the best and most caring dog groomer I've have watch. Always putting your dog feelings first. Just fabulous. A lot of groomer could learn from you.
That’s very sweet of you. Grooming is hard on these kids sometimes.
@@thegroominggarden5410 Your humility is also what makes you an ideal groomer.
Oh no ruined her cuteness
😍😍😍
Wowww
Start with scissors around eyes?
I couldn't hear while clipping.
I wish you were my toy's groomer. You are amazing. So is that little girl❣️
My first time watching my boy all o a sudden is brilliant on the table she’s such a good girl 😀😀😀😛
Wish comments would let you post photos. Would love to see your kid! I’m on Instagram under The.Grooming.Garden
Lovely video, Thank You very much 😊
I love your patients with this animals and love the way you explain things as you go along Question what is the shampoo you use and why?
Actually my grooming garden is a low-stress alternative to typical grooming shops. I do not bathe. My clients bathe their own dogs before bringing them. I do take some awesome photos of them though which I always share.
Love it
👍❤️.
You are so loving and gentle with Ruby. She will love to come back for future beautifications. I recently re-homed a 3 yo Shih Tzu who was traumatized from grooming. He bites when attempts to trim his front feet so other groomers won't take him as a client. I have to learn to trim him myself. I'm so glad I found your channel, thank you!
Lots of dogs are afraid to have their front feet messed with. Go really slow and gentle. Feel and rub each toe before you do it so your dog is ready. If he tries to bite, try a Zencone. Talk to him and have treats for him. He’s scared. Tell him how much you love him and how handsome he is. Dogs want to wow us. So tell them Wow!
Do you think that the loud sound of the clipper vac is harmful to the dog? It might just be the way the sound is picked up on video but it seems very loud no?
Yes it is definitely louder than I would like. Room for improvement!
Goldendoodle WTF. Should of left his blood line golden retriever& poodle. Sick person who done this.
No, inexperienced and uneducated about caring for a dog’s grooming needs. Groomers must love each client through the process and try to move them forward in taking better care of their dog. Encouragement not judgment will improve the future quality of life for a dog in poor condition. And you are right about naming the bloodline. I will fix that.
So sweet and incredibly patient with this puppy. We’d all be lucky to have a groomer like this for our babies.

Thank you Cindy!!! Appreciate it very much!!! I let Maghra watch this and she sat quietly and watched till the end, she knows that's her :) See you again soon!
I fell in love. ha ha someone made it to the end of my video!
If get poodles, ( scnauzers, ) from reputable breeders, they start clipping face , feet, nails. at 4 wks. & & will not be difficult to groom !!
That is the way to go. Starting them early! Otherwise patience and persistence and lots of treats.
I love how patient and sweet you are with her. I watch a lot of grooming videos and many groomers, at least when filming, seem to completely ignore the dog except to reprimand them with the very, very sparse praise sprinkled in between and seem almost indifferent or irritated when doing it. I understand, it's their job and they're just trying to get it done as quickly as possible so I don't fault them for it but I really appreciate seeing someone so warm and kind toward the dogs. It really shows that you groom because you love dogs! I hope you never lose that. <3
I have to admit working one on one in a butterfly garden really helps me connect with my friends. When I had my busy shop, my eye was always on the clock. Hurry hurry.
How old is this poodle? I just got my first standard poodle, and he is 10 weeks old
She was 6 months old.
I hope u can groom my dog! U are so sweet and loving !
Which shears and blades are you using?
Jason scissors. Andes clipper on a Clipper Vac. Probably a #1 or #0 clipper comb over a #40 blade.
Would you share the name of the sling and where you bought it?
I bought it from Etsy. I had to re-do the rings that it hangs from. They were not substantial enough to hang. I actually bought 2 slings, 1 small and 1 medium. They came separately from two different makers. They were exactly the same size. The “small” one was way too stretchy of fabric. It never worked out. This one has been awesome and adapts well to different sized dogs.
That looks like a doodle. That's a poodle?
She really looked like a doodle to me as well until I got her beautiful face shaved the second time she came.
Looks just like my standard poodle I just got, except mine has a little white. So precious.
Hard to tell if is poodle or doodle,.. Unless the other breed is distinctly recognized, now EVERY breed has been doodled!! Most popular are lab, golden, Aussie, Berner, Sheepa doodle, malti poo, cockapoo, yorkiepoo,.. U can clip to look like a poodle, clean face, feet, .. topknot, pom on tail..or a terrier.. no topknot, mustache/ beard, .. or completely bald !!
Working on grooming my 4 month old standard poodle ! He is not liking his face shaved either! He’s good with everything else but the face Takes a couple days to get it all! Glad I’m not alone. Lol! Beautiful length on her !
4month poodle grooming? Its a baby
