    The whole point of a pre contactless wash beforehand is to remove as much dirt as possible so you are not damaging/scratching the paint with dirt etc wien doing your contact wash. Bilt Hamber is clearly far superior.

    Wax isn’t the best alone, put a qd/spray sealant etc over it for a sacrificial layer. I happily use auto foam as my cars are well protected, BH double speed wax has great chemical resistance by itself and I get great longevity out of it because every wash I spray on qd to add protect it. Sorry guys but if you aren’t this clued up on detailing don’t make videos.

    I use mckees 37 hydro blue pro sio2 spray and rinse and its by far the best on the market. You use 1 spray per panel and rinse. The performance is unbelievable. Ive tried car pro and gyeon and love them too but trust me guys, try the mckees 37

    A tip for those of you using Gyeon Wet Coat. Do you two to three sprays per panel, and one spray on a clean, wet wash mitt. Wipe the panel, and rinse. Much more even, and improved durability.

    Great info guys. So I use a bilt hamber weak solution as a drying aid ( I don’t rinse, just towel it off ) on top of wax ( I like the old fashioned wax) so as you say - are there none of these type that work on wax?

    BH all the way! but a daft review to be honest, surely you'd go with the product that does the better job? And also, it's not touchless (as in you don't need to touch the car) it's touch-less! You should need to do less of a contact wash after.

    • @RayTheFPSGamer
      @RayTheFPSGamer 2 місяці тому

      I just applied that Qjutsu stuff to my wheels a few hours ago. My car is outside, no way for me to keep it or the wheels in a temperature controlled and dry environment so I hope it all goes well. I left it on there for around 10 minutes instead of the 5 minutes on the box as it's only 17°C outside, not 20-25°C, perhaps that's needed I don't know. When buffing it off the coated parts were quite sticky/grabby on the microfiber towel, kind of like when buffing off a wax of the hood. There was a bit of white residue that came off during buffing. I'm interested to see how this will hold up and if it works as intended

    I can see why pH neutral products have been a market trend. No one wants to use corrosives, but are they actually corrosive? The guy on the right said that there is a little more science behind Valet Pro and how it cleans, and that he had spoken to the company to get a lot more technical information. Implying there is little science behind Bilt Hamber’s Auto Foam. I would be interested to know if he had also spoken to BH to get more technical information and what they said about the science behind their Auto Foam. Their website says that it is the result of extensive in-house research and development. I am also curious when used at the recommended dilution or PIR as they call it, does the BH Auto Foam still have more cleaning power than Valet Pro when it is also used at the recommended dilution rate? The guy also said or implied that BH's Auto Foam degrades or damages the coating and paint. I would be interested to know by how much BH Auto Foam degrades or damages the coating and paint with each application? Obviously if it causes damage I am reluctant to invest in the product. When valeting I've been using Meguiar's products for many years - their Snow Foam, Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo and Conditioner and their Ultimate Liquid Wax have been excellent for me. Though their Snow Foam appears to be about the same as the Valet Pro foam. Meguiar's scratch remover is brilliant - but I may be bias. I normally do a fairly deep clean after winter to get rid of all the road salts and fallout. Then again at the end of summer to get rid of the tree sap and tars, I still do a bit of protective maintenance after each light clean using the shampoo and the wax, when I get rid of the bug splat etc. I was getting drawn to the Autoglym range of products, but the more content I watch, I am now getting drawn towards Bilt Hamber products, not only because all their products are biodegradable (at what rate I don’t know), and should have less impact on the environment and the price per wash land protect is cheaper.. Thanks for the presentation guys, BH continues to impress, the Auto Foam does seem comparable or the better pre-wash.

    You all should compare BH Auto Foam with Valetpro Combo2 not PH Neutral Snow Foam. Useless comparison.

  • @Ally.MacMillan
    @Ally.MacMillan 6 місяців тому

    Thanks for sharing. I’ve learned over the years that most PH neutral snow foams are pretty useless, particularly thick, dry foams. BH Auto-Foam is designed to be a wet foam, which is part of how it works so well and being wet doesn’t affect its dwell time. It’s not caustic either. It’s best used as intended, i.e. work out the PIR of the lance and PW you are using, instead of the usual “inch in a bottle” or 1:10, that really does it no justice.

    Logic gone out the window here it seems to me. Choosing the worse performing product because you want to contact wash? The contact wash will degrade an LSP more than skipping that stage, and also the fact you've still got dirt on there makes it even more abrasive. Also, Auto Foam is LSP safe in any case.

  • @simonmarsh5007
    @simonmarsh5007 7 місяців тому

    I might be wrong but I always look to get as much of the car as possible on the prewash so the contact wash is safe .I’ve never had an issue with touchless or auto foam degrading any protection as use them every day .

    @michael6125 7 місяців тому

    In conclusion. Guy on the right says he’s not looking for squeaky clean, which is fine but why pass on a product that is giving you more cleaning at a cheaper price that is non-caustic. The video literally showed that Bilt Hamber out performed Valet Pro in every way.

    • @petersmith7126

      And BH is not really alkaline once diluted and the company puts a heck of a lot of chemical testing into all of their products and most of their products have anti-corrosive properties

    • @petersmith7126

      And he's happy to do a contact wash on a car covered in mucky slush which is more damaging to your paintwork than use BH which after 20 washes may have some impact on your LSP ..... If you're that worried use a spray on rinse off coating and drying agent to add some extra protection

    Since you asked.The pH scale is logarithmic, meaning that each whole number change in pH represents a tenfold increase or decrease in acidity/alkalinity. Ok, so to change Auto Foam from pH 11 to pH 7 is a change of 4 pH units, which represents a dilution factor of 10,000 times (10^4). So for 10ml of auto foam, you are looking at 100ltrs of water to bring it's PH to 7.
