The Mill
So, I got my mill, picked up an old trailer to convert to a log arch/dolly, and had the arch made. Thank you Elisabeth Finch for your welding skills. I got to go to my Father-in-law's cousins property, where there were several white cedar(juniper) logs on the ground. They have been there for years and he was letting me have them if I wanted. Yes, please. I will be back for more.

Cedar End Tables

I handled these from start to finish. I cut the trees, milled the logs, dried the lumber, and built the tables. Almost hated to part with them, but they are in the home of a good friend where they are appreciated and used.

I play a monthly poker game with friends, low stakes, just a guys fun night. We have made up a few of our own games (we think) and there was interest from some other people on those games to try out so thought that a video might be the best way to share them out. If you try them, let me know what you think, or if you have questions, ask.

Hello Folks. This last weekend my parents and I were up in the mountains working on raising the shed. It was in the teens or low 20s at night and 35-45 during the day. Pretty good working weather overall. We got a lot done but there is more to do. Enjoy, and stay tuned. Like and subscribe if you would.

Tree Skirt and Nightstand - What I have worked on the last 3 nights
Переглядів 192 роки тому
Cindy wanted a box skirt or whatever you call it and I had a year to build it. Didn't get done, so....she mentioned it a few nights ago and now it's done. Since I was at it, I also built my nightstand for the mountain trailer. You can see the trailer and land progress in the Rohn Hollow series on this channel.

1 YEAR OLD EGGS!!!!! Am I Crazy?
Переглядів 312 роки тому
We've done it. One year old eggs, sitting in a jar on my kitchen floor. Tasty as ever and totally edible. This will continue until I use up the eggs, every month, 2 eggs at a time. I think it will take me another 3 months.
Eating Eggs 11 Months Old? What????
Переглядів 83 роки тому
We have reached 11 months now. Twelve was my goal but I do have enough eggs to reach about 14 months so we will see this to the end. I haven't even started glassing anymore but will soon. I don't really plan to keep a lot in that manner but will keep a couple jars going and will use them regularly so they will likely never get to the 12 month mark in the future. It will save space in the fridge...

      LOL. That works too. My truck wouldn't stop leaking even with new tubes so not sure exactly where it was leaking but it was from the sun roof. So, on the outside I cleaned all the rubber and glass really well with alcohol, then sealed the whole thing with an outdoor/exterior rated silicon. No more leak. I can still open the inside cover to let the sun in but leave the glass closed.

    My passenger side drain was plugged and I tried to blow it out with compressed air. It blew the tube off the firewall drain plug, which is really hard to get to. I did exactly what is shown in the video, and it drains better than ever. It's nice to have dry carpet again!

    Very good video thanks,but how do you know it is your drain tube and not the seal around the sun roof? Thanks

    • @gunnyrohn882
      @gunnyrohn882 2 роки тому

      In my case, it was where the water was coming in. It wasn't wet or leaking around the sunroof itself, but was soaking the head liner in the front corners over the windshield. To be fair, I don't know where it would leak if it was the seal, but replacing the tube did fix the issue, in my case. Thanks for watching.

    Cool thanks, I would probably just connect the new line to the old line with some duct tape then as you pull the old line out the new line goes right into place.

    Why didn't you insulate the upper part of the front wall like you did on the bottom?

    • @gunnyrohn882
      @gunnyrohn882 2 роки тому

      It was already insulated; at least as much as a camper can be. The bottom portion was a storage area and not insulated. Being a camper, it probably wont even do much good, but it makes me feel better that it's there anyway.

    Daddy had two river rocks that he would put under the hens when we had a chicken snake eating eggs. We found at least a half-dozen dead snakes with rocks stuck in their throats. I bet these days somebody sells wooden eggs that would do the same thing. Great video.

      Good question. I think it was 3/8 inside diameter but best bet is to disassemble first and take a piece of the old one with you. It's been a while, but I believe I bought 10 feet which was more than enough. Thanks for watching

    • @gunnyrohn882
      @gunnyrohn882 4 роки тому

      I have had campers, and while nice, they can also come with a lot of problems. Plumbing and wiring are often completely inaccessible, floor plans are something you have to live with. I understand the reasons for these things. I wanted something different that met MY needs. I wanted to be able to haul the toys when I wanted. I simply bought a new enclosed trailer and built it out. That worked for several years, all the while making notes in my head on what worked, what didn't. This last winter I gutted and started over using those mental notes. I reused most all the materials. I bought a pop-up for salvage and got lots of great parts from it. Most of the floor plan changed. Rebuilt the back wall a couple times till I got it right. I will have to show that in a video. Nothing spectacular but it swings open so I can load the ATV, or kayaks, bikes, etc if we are taking them with us. A friend recently built one out also and my biggest advise was to not be tied to a plan. Be ready to take it apart and try again. Once you start to actually use it, you will find the things that need to change for convenience, comfort, or ease of use.
