Millennium Falcon smugglers Run ride
At Disney Hollywood Studios in Orlando FL October 2029. Really a cool ride! If you use single rider line you can ride much faster but you won't get to be a pilot.

Scuba diving Voodoo F101 planes- Panama City Beach, FL
Переглядів 4,3 тис.10 років тому
On June 26, 2014 two Voodoo F101 Fighter Jets became artificial reefs off the coast of Panama City Beach, FL. July 5, 2014 I was able to dive them along with several other divers with Better Bottom Time Charters. I don't normally take video but you get an idea of dive site. They sit 74 feet underwater and approximately 3 miles from M.B. Miller County Pier in PCB FL. When sank one plane landed u...

This was a wonderful ending to a magical and beautiful day. "Because there's nothing more beautiful than the way the ocean refuses to stop kissing the shoreline, no matter how many times it's sent away." ― Sarah Kay

When I heard of these being dumped I wasn't very pleased. Im glad people will enjoy diving on them. But I think they could have been preserved in a museum instead.

Warhawknm I agree the dumbest use of an airplane is to dumb into an ocean should be only done in the event a pilot has to ditch a damaged plane into the water or if he/she runs out of fuel.

aviationbuff I agree big time. To me that's not a respectable way to retire such an elegant and fast moving air warrior that was relied on so many times. Maybe I'm over sensitive because I flew in the B model for seven years assigned to Tyndall AFB, Panama City, FL.

aviationbuff, I also agree. I served in the USAF and this plane was the first of my favorites as a kid, seeing them at the college and the marina. Wish they could have preserved them indoors somehow for everyone to enjoy. Now just a thrill for divers. Eventually people will start a rumor they crashed there or were shot down...smh.

While I can’t say I’ve ever had the privilege of flying a plane of any type or served in the Military, I am the daughter of an AF vet. For me it was an honor to be able to dive these planes. As far as the Voodoos themselves I did some research and there are several which have been placed in various museums around the country and on display on various bases. As I diver I know that there are pros and cons of all wrecks that have been artificially placed in waters for enjoyment of not only divers, but fishermen as well. In fact in all the wrecks I have ever dove over the past 10 years there is an abundance of life on these wrecks. These wrecks are often times vehicles which might have otherwise been left to rust and lay abandoned where now they are giving life back. Yes there are cons. But I see the pros as much more. If you are not aware of what goes on before an artificial reef (such as these planes, the Mighty O, the Vandenberg, or any other wreck) you should really do some research on it. In the past several years there have been such research and environmental rules and regulations that each new artificial wreck has had all environmental hazards removed before being placed in the water. This means money; money to remove hazards, money to move the vehicle, money for research. Divers and diving businesses along with many other businesses are often the ones which fund this process. It’s not taken lightly and very well researched as for location, safety, and benefit to the area. So if you have flown one of these planes and served… well thank you. If you don’t dive, you might want to learn.

Robert has black fins on and around 2:56 frame he is feeding the fish. vortex is a great place when we can't get to the Gulf as it's usually 100 feet viz. Always 68F (20C) degrees no matter what the air temp is.
