That is a great question. The reason they look more vibrant is they are getting ready to spawn. Brown trout spawn in the fall. They usually start their migration to their spawning grounds in September and start spawning mid or late October. Timing can vary due to the weather. Thanks for tuning in!

To be honest, I felt the same way you did when I first got started. It's actually not to bad as long as you have studded boots and sunglasses with polarized lenses. The more you're out there the less you even think about it.

@@troutowl I fish for mostly Pa. Brook Trout and saw a study where the longer the fish is out of water the mortality rate climbs . Glad you know and thanks for the video
