Since 2015 The Sumthins have been writing, recording and performing songs. Playing a wide array of mostly covers live while throwing in some originals. The Sumthins started with three main members Colin Schlegel, Brandon Schlegel, and Holden Getz. After 2018, Holden stepped away for personal reasons. The Sumthins, now only a duo, began releasing music on streaming services in late 2018.
The duo recruited a new live lineup in 2019 and continued releasing an abundance of music and playing shows. Since 2021 the band has consistently played over 40 shows a year. With music still being released on streaming while the band is playing so many shows each year. Each year the band continues to grow in popularity and reach. The Sumthins pride themselves on being completely independent. They promote and book their own shows. As well as produce, write, record and distribute their own music onto streaming services.
