What a waste of an upgrade especially for such a quite line
@SouthWestCrossingsUK the upgrade was done because of the plans to introduce passenger services to the line 2 other crossings on the line got MCB-OD upgrades (oops, i forgot which crossing was which) I even saw what I assume was a route learning train

That is indeed an OD setup - it's the new kind (colloquially "OD2") that got trialled at the crossing at Nether Poppleton 2 years ago

Could you try to get a video of Bedlington footpath crossing please
I can definitely do a "crossing tour" style video (assuming i am looking at the right one) Might be next year before i resume filming though I can't promise a video of a train passing over it though (i don't know how to find out when trains will be passing over it)

@@Nutball_official Not had chance to do any filming (any videos i currently upload were recorded back in 2023) If i can persuade myself to walk all the way there, I might be able to get a video on Sunday (Tomorrow (Thursday) is out of the question as I will be in County Durham that day, i cannot say exactly where i will be for my own safety, and Friday and Saturday will likely be indoors days to help me recover from Thrursday)

Nice to see they've kept the TPE livery on the Class 68.
That's the issue with some of these AOCR's. They don't have driver's white lights from what I know, plus they don't have ATC mode.
The ones on the tyne and wear metro are interfaced with the signals in some way, I have even witnessed a timeout happen (due to a door fault), from what i could tell metro control had to remotly re-activate the crossing After the crossing timed out the "second train timer" started as there was a train waiting to pass in the other direction

Its an MCB-CCTV crossing, but with no skirts on the barriers

It may be a rusty old shopping trolley but I still have a place fore it in my heart
Im guessing the reason for this being a request crossing of sorts is that the crossing sees very little pedestrian traffic, so it wasn't worth putting in a proper warning system
