Just fallen over you - gurgle's algorithms and rabbit-holes today! Foto skill, I'm not complaining, getting to see around countryside - thanks for t hat. But but but, for the new generation of workers .... Education content ? Jings! What is THAT generation teaching THIS generation ? ? Howto compact soil and fill with nitrogen robbing straw. ... . or ?
Hmm, My neighbor's tractor .... probably seeing more clutch replacements now than in the last 40 odd years of it's life ! It's A MASSEY FGS !! what's the added WEIGHT on the plow for ? and the track width is too wide Bet it is 60" ! Straight enough, and if THAT is what Match plowing is all about .... a Generational thing then ?
I'm interested to see if drivers would be interested in a harvest in New Zealand
Great video and even better song choice !
No ins and out scratch shocking pretty fair work otherwise finish too deep
You must be a pro!
I know nothing about ploughing with equipment from this era but my grandfather was a farmer and I vaguely remember seeing him at ploughing matches. I would like to find out more about it and this video really helped me so thanks for that. Being above the equipment gave me a better understanding than when filmed from ground level. Some explanation of the plough and adjustments prior to and during ploughing would be great if you fancy making another video. Thank you Paul
Where is the ins and outs scratch furrow how can points be awarded
What’s the tank on the front for?
Great video, lovely work… agree ref the ins & outs but straight as a die and sharp edges which is the difficult bit. Massive traction too… must be ballast in those tyres, track width is wider than I’d expect too.
No ballast in tyres, run them about 9 or 10PSI width set at 56” for 12” ploughing
I don't like the untidy ends there must always be a scratch to mark the headland very good workmanship otherwise
Nae worries big man
Hi Kev do you know of any farm/agri jobs around blairgowrie at the moment. good vid.
Spoilt a good video with crap music.
Nice rig. Cheers for sharing.
Great video well put together
Hi what drone do you use
Great video an a lovely bit o ploughin there top notch drone shots 💪
What a rich soil!
What do you do with all that residue on top of the carrots when it warms up?
can’t wait for peas love them ❤️🌾🚜👨🌾
How is Mause pronounced?
Good job! Nice framing
Interesting one Kev! how did He find the on land ploughing compared to the in furrow..was there much more wheel slip?
Nice filming of nice equipment. 👌 stay safe 🏴
Hi could I have your local blacksmiths number who made you're land wheel thankyou
I can give you measurements for it and you could get a local blacksmith or engineering shop to make you it? the blacksmith I got to do mine is always very busy with big jobs and I had chase him on a bit 6 months after I had asked him to make me it!
@@kevsagrifromtheairphotosvi96 ok thankyou
Hi are you any were near Crawford's farm UA-cam
Just had a look dude, he’s at Gloagburn farm about 20 miles from me
@@kevsagrifromtheairphotosvi96 verry good would it be possible to make a video again of you, when you are practicing on the 148 and ransome as a lot of us ploughing find it very intresting as you have such a iconic setup quick question were did you get your land wheel from or how did you make it thankyou very much Joe
@@joeturneragri357 yeah, I could make another video but will have to be next autumn now as no more land available to plough here unless I get some land somewhere else! I got a local blacksmith to cut me a circle and also roll me a band slightly smaller than the circle and welded the band to the circle and made the hole for the hub in the centre!
i remember it well for years i drove along side loved it
Drone havesting super
John Maxwell from Fife ?
Sure is!
Some decent music at last brilliant
What happens to the strings?👍👨🔧
Some are cut off the bales before they are loaded onto the machine and the rest usually wrap around rotors and have to be cut out 2 or 3 times a day!
Have you any history of the tractor? Notice it has a Banffshire registration number.
The tractor was sold out of Morayshire tractors to a fella John R Gordon in Lower Cabrach, that’s where the tractor spent all of its days!
Very interesting indeed. Amazing how the harvester can remove the soil from the crop.
Gosh Ye have some of the Best of Ground up there in Scotland!, You capture the breathtaking Landscape very well Kev..Good work!
Impressive kit 👍
Nice video! Good to see plenty of Fife footage!
Great video thank u😉👍

i remember it well its what i used to do i miss it
nice kit and video
i love john Deere i have 7 john Deere 50,A,B,720 wide,620,630,R
I really am sorry for the person that has Parkinson’s. It’s great all of you people think enough of them to do the plowing for them. I enjoyed watching all the “farming” done for that person and his family. JOB WELL DONE, thank you, one and all. Great to see farmers sticking together. Great to see two farmers talking on the back of a well trained tractor? May GOD bless you all.
Why you use that much straw?
To give the Carrots a good covering, prevents the frost getting into them! Usually around 40 bales to an acre
What do you do with all that straw come harvest time?
Great footage..... Lock down let's me watch things like this all day 👌👍
Awesome video
Just found this......great vid and even better tune!!!!!!

Why not wait a day after plough the field to drill the seed? The forecast is the problem? Good land and video!
Yes there was rain forecast for the following day, better drilled straight behind the ploughs so it doesn’t get too wet on top of the ploughing! Thanks
Cracking video 👍
Thanks 👍🏼
Can the harvester not go up hill ?? Seems to be running them all down the way?? Maybe take headlands off and come back up Gare side ??
The harvester was lifting up hill and running back to bottom of the field empty
