I was there for this 21 years ago as this was my last National Youth Conference to attend. There were many things that happened at these conferences, but the opportunity to sing with fellow brothers and sisters in Christ is one thing I will always remember.

This is OK...it is *not* in the context of the organized worship service...it appears to be an impromptu singing where one person starts to sing then others join in.

This is great i am part of the Sunset Church of Christ in Miami, and we are all one united in God and make it to praise as best as we can even if it involves dancing or clapping

Any information about the 2016 youth conference ?

I think it is dangerous to extrapolate those things designed for the Lord's day assembly to things outside of it. The examples patterns and commands we obey on that day are what we have for that specific time of corporate worship. When we put those elements on activities outside of that, it is often a means of controlling others. While good intentioned, it robs others of their joy in the Lord. These young people are fired up for God. I wish more of us were. Ephesians 4:29. Let's build up, exhort and teach in love and stop tearing down God's children.

Be mindful of Acts 17:25... He is not worshiped with men's hands, and in Eph 5:19 we are to sing and making melody in our hearts to the Lord. A melody is a tune, voice, or line, is a linear succession of musical tones that the listener perceives as a single entity. In its most literal sense, a melody is a combination of pitch and rhythm, so if your rhythm is manifested in the form of clapping, you are in error in your service and praise.

I'm a white Church of Christ chick and I wish I would have been there. And you know what? I'm pretty sure my brothers and sisters in this video would have welcomed me to sing and worship OUR heavenly father with them.

How sad that many have turned from the old paths...instrumental music nor dancing was never allowed or commanded by God in His New Testament.

I do not know the answer to that. I went to the Texas State youth conference and we were very diverse. The Chuch I attend has a mixture of people. I think the COC needs to do a better job of promoting Christans not just one race. God bless you.

Well, I am member of the church of Christ, and I think to die in the church of Christ, but I see that most churches of Christ (not all) are more concerned about what other churches do than what they themselves do.
