I bought and never used it after I found out that they cannot be connected to the game and like a ugh, bad watch? But I thought I will be one day, when I’ll decide to use regular watch instead of smart ones. And yeah, my pre-order came month after the official game launch (so like 2 months after I potentially could start playing)

Hey man, great video. My experience was very similar to yours. I've been a huge fan of One Piece since I was a kid, and there's a local card store near my house that had a One Piece sign in the window. Out of curiosity, I walked in one evening to an OP TCG tournament with about a dozen people. Heard of the card game, but never realized it had gotten so popular or that there was even a local community for it. The store owners were super generous and took the time to teach me the game using their own decks and I had a great time. Now, I'm looking to build my first deck and start playing. As a long time fan I'm so happy to finally see One Piece getting so popular and reaching new people around the world whether it's through the anime, manga or games.

Even though you didn't know most of the characters, your obvious appreciation for the series made the pack opening fun to watch.

The thing i don't like about card games that come out is most of them have taken the same general form as this one piece game. It feels cheap, because other card games like yugioh have monopolized on the complex gameplay aspect. Magic monopolized on the complex gameplay AND layers of interaction. I've been so burned out by those (in a sort of good way) that simple games like this or Pokémon just don't do it for me. The one reason I'm considering it is because mtg games take forever in commander and my friends have taken an interest in this one. It seems like a good idea to go with the flow and pick up a game that's rather simple, and these cards seem to already be creating their own market like Pokémon, yugioh and magic.

for every positive, this game its quite agressive, going face, also blockers are a little too important right now, the more blockers you have the more you can hit your opponent's face, without him hitting your face what this game needs is extreme triggers like duel masters, because there is no fear of attacking, like trigger immediately end your opponents turn, or tap all enemys, or destroy all enemys with 5000dp or less, or return all enemys to the hand

The watch's firmware update that happened shortly after game launch, that was supposed to introduce features dependent on geolocalization (weather and sunrise/sunset info), was botched in a way that the watch was not able to get data from the app when the user was localized in a city with name that included some non-english characters. Because of that I couldn't get these features to work where I live. My dispute with Bethesda Support took 10 month (sometimes it took them 2 months to repond to my messages), until they finally admitted that the issue exists, but they won't do anything about it. So I requested a refund due to the non-compliance of the goods with the contract and what do you know, they actually gave me the full refund. Word of advice to anyone who is in a similar situation with Bethesda Support - be patient, do not spam them with messages as every update to the ticket push it to the bottom of the queue and do not let them close the ticket (the ticket closes automatically after 96 hours if the last update was made by Bethesda and there was no reposnse from your side). When they ask you to perform some steps for debugging, do them, or if you are absolutely sure that it won't help at lest tell them that you did and the issue still exist (if you refuse or start disputing the validity of what they are proposing they will refuse further help). Also make your messages sound as professional as you can (e.g. use phrases like "due to the non-compliance of the goods with the contract") and do not write in all caps. The more you seem unhinged and rude the more likely they will ignore you.

The watch encapsulates how we felt about the game. Eventually it stopped doing anything useful. SF did get me playing NMS, which is actually fun.

What you mean functionality? It's a watch it tells the time....I've got it, I wear it, and it tells the time which is what I wanted and the case is cool

I got the watch second hand, I replaced the standard strap with a gray archer one off amazon because 1 it feels nicer and 2 the straps are just as rare as the watch itself. Because I bought it second hand, It was cheaper and already open, so I had no collectors guilt in using it. I use it pretty much every day, its a solid watch. Is it a smart watch? What? No? Why tf would you want that? It lasts long on a single charge (idk how long but definitely longer than a day and every apple watch known to man), It displays notifications when relevant, tells you arbitrary but fun in-universe info when you want it to like the moon cycle, as well as how many steps you've made while wearing it with a settable goal, and yep, it even tells the time.

I would love to have a watch that was like constellations but not that cheap crap!

Sorry about your watch. I looked into getting one but that was right when the problems started. And then I i woke up to how bad the game and company were so I consider the whole thing a dodged bullet.

Sorry for your loss. I'm sure the reddit posts were only by the people with bad experience, if something works, not many people write to say so, but as soon as it fails off to the forums they go. So very hard to say what % of bought collections have duff watches. Don't you have any sort of consumer law / rights in the US? They sold you a product that didn't match it's description, they have stolen back their product from you. I'm sure you will have a case. it's just a case of if you want to go down that route.

Maybe I just suck at video games, or I’m just lazy, but I heard about the mods for console and redownloaded it after initially playing for an hour or two day one and not getting engaged in it. I’ve been playing it almost nonstop for the last month. I’m flying the MFing Millennium Falcon around the galaxy. I’m not down for the grind of some video games, so those mods have been a lot of fun to play around with and just enjoy the fun parts of the game while ignoring the things I don’t like about any game. I wish a lot of other games would support mods actively like this, it’s crazy fun. Sheesh I’ve like the game so much I ended buying the Xbox controller on eBay a week ago and have considered getting this collectors edition just because it’s really a dope collection.

I just bought this edition for 300 PLN (76 USD with taxes) in Poland - cheaper than the edition without the watch. Stores are probably slowly trying to clear it out of their warehouses.

I mean the watch is absurd IN the game. So why is anyone expecting the real watch to be ok. While the basic idea is ok i still cant wrap my brain around the fact that they didn use the watch to show the inventory starmap etc as a futuristic hologram thingy ... nonono a boring unimmersive page to select crap from. I get it that they want something to be different to their fallout games but when something makes sense do it ... but its just one of the million things in this game that doesnt work together with all other things so what am i complaining about ^^. The watch looks like they bought some old shells of casio watches and repainted them and put in the absolute basic noname stuff. 😄

LMMFAO! How about making sure the game works first before marketing it. That's kind of a no Brainer! Starfield is still broken today. Good Luck finishing the main quest line after doing hours of side quest. A year later, the game still crashes in after the first major fight from the main storyline. And good luck finding mods you like that actually works. That Starfield watch should go in the Trump collection of worst ideas to sell to the public!

I tried to buy the SF Collectors edition from Bethesda gear but they were sold out, so only had the choice of getting it from Best Buy, BIG Mistake! Never buy anything from Best Buy, they refused to give me the game on launch day. Never again! Case is best built thing, I never wear the watch it just sits on my desk. 😂

Well I have it. And… it doesn’t have an alarm. Neither vibrating or the regular, sound one. It’s like… one of the most basic functionalities you can get out of every watch, including analog ones. It shows distance between me and the moon though.

I guess if you struggle to get more than 50 people to watch your videos it really is a good strategy to just talk shit about starfield 😂 congrats on finally hopping on the recreational complaint train

I missed the shocking beginning from Starfield, like the Dragon swooping in Helgen, or going up on the vault-lift for the first time. Yes, there was a galaxy-zoom moment but meh. It was around 20 years the AAA game studios patiently made me a cynical basterd, who won't be excited about any incoming release, rather look at a game at least half year after the initial availability. I've even rented games, and bought them after finish out of respect. I've tried Starfield out. A wonderful, detailed mechanics and stories, but crammed in with so much little annoyances they almost seem intentional. Features I watched info about, but dismissed as "surely this won't annoy me", but it did. For example I almost was surprised where zone-borders were, loading screens on the interiors of some buildings, while able to freely traverse others. Refunded in time.

I can have all the functions of the watch with that face design on my galaxy watch no point in getting the collectors edition at that point

Nine minutes in the video and he _finally_ starts talking about that damn watch. Almost half of the video is used to talk about completely different stuff and by assuring us that, well, we are here to talk about the watch. Just not now. That is a very annoying way to waste your audience's time. Maybe his real problem with this watch is that he can't read it?

I know a smart watch is made for everyday wear, but as soon as I looked at my collectors watch I knew i would just wear it while playing the game around the house or at whatever Insertname Con now and then. It still works likely because it's primarily up in the game room on display. definitely shouldn't have to be that way though. there are plenty of watches at a comparable 150-250 price point that are durable. Hope Bethesda straightens this out for the many who are trying to get their watches fixed.

my watch is fine but i barly use it. and i live in germany and here there are blatant consumer protection laws. that means if the watch breaks within 11 months bethesda has to replace it or Bethesda get problems with the state or the complete money back.

Who in their right mind would pay for an Bethesda exclusive or merchandise after Fallout 76 fiasco with the trashbag leather Jacket, terrible and hugely delayed Nuka Dark Rom, mold infested Power Armor Helmets, plus countless other merchandise failures (I have forgot at this moment) during 2018-2020. Lunacy!

Bethesda has had over a decade of incredibly talented modders FIXING their busted trash.
