Not the one I'm currently working on, but that was the other one I was considering. So when we do her (because I know at some point I will probably make a 3D printed version) I will also allow her to take the spot from time to time.

Thanks Znix! I was wondering if anyone would notice the little guy peaking out! 😂 I have never heard of a constant current regulator. Not even my dad that helped me with the LED ever brought it up. I will take a look to see if it might be useful for any future projects. So, thanks for the tip!

@@WVDCreations Haha it's always fun to spot those little details! Another option you have that might actually be a bit simpler is using a resistor in place of one of the LEDs - this is how LEDs are typically wired up as indicator lights in a lot of electronic devices. For example, if you want the LEDs to pass a current of about 20mA (reasonable for small LEDs, larger LEDs might need more - it'll be listed on their datasheet) and you want to drop the voltage by 6V (from skipping 3 LEDs), you can use Ohm's law of V=IR to find R=6/0.020=300 ohms.

I really want to make them! but getting the truck part is the hard part. Since the Models-resource does not have the models yet for download, I'm waiting on a friend of ours to help with the model. I really wanted to see if I might be able to find a model kit of a truck to be able to use it for the trucks and also make it easier for other people to make it, but I do not have any big knowledge on trucks to find the correct model. And online I've also not found anyone that has been able to identify the correct type of truck to use. So, at this point I'm waiting on the model so I can see if I can split off the truck part to use for the model and just put it online, free to use, so other people can also make it with a 3D printer.

To make? Or to buy? To make, most materials you would need would not set you back too much. MDF, plywood, foamboard, a bit of acrylic flat dowels. You just need a bunch of 6mm round dowels, 9mm square dowels. Then you have the 3D printed amiibo holders. And the resin 3D printed pieces like the dragon head and tail from part 1, and now all of the lanterns from this part. I think all of the materials alone cost me about 200 euros including all of the electronics too. If I ever were to sell this it woud probably quickly go up to 800 to 1000 euros. With the 1,5 months of work all of the prep, printing, assembly and painting would costs. And then I would need to squeeze it in-between other projects since I would still need to make other stuff for the channel...

You've got some good eyes! Sadly I've had those Splatoween Deep Cut amiibo sitting around since last year so I hope that with Halloween fast approaching I will get the push I need to finally finish painting them! And no it's not Boss Marie or any of the normal inklings/octolings, otherwise I would have added those when I did these final recordings. It is actually a brand new amiibo we've yet to make! But the first project we're going to be working on next is the repairs on the Iso Padre Cosplay to be able to take it to the con in 1,5 weeks.

It was a heck of a lot of work since the both the LED strips and the lanterns did not work the first time. But in the end it was all worth it! Not let's hope that some event would also be interested in showing this one off so even more people can see the lights in-person!

I'm so glad you like it! I also love making these Diorama's to store and show off both the diorama and the amiibos at the same time! That's why we also have some ideas to do the same for the squid sister amiibos with the MEGAmiibo idols and also with all of the Side Order amiibos we have made and are going to make. But at this point those are only ideas and nothing concrete yet...
