Find a few close people to confide in when you feel depression creeping in, because it is better not to bottle things up. I know it is very hard but always get out of bed when you wake up, pray and have your bath and do very light housework or a small act of service for your nuclear family. Also when you wake up, avoid going back to the bedroom and your bed. Play some music, dance, exercise, even if for 5 minutes The whole goal is not to completely succumb to the depressive stupor that comes with Clinical Depression, so this way, you will not reach rock bottom. Don't ever be harsh on yourself. You deserve the same sympathy as people with poor physical health issue. It is just a phase that flows and ebbs, and there is always light at the end of the tunnel. Oyinbos call it the "black dog", cos of the way it comes like a heavy load, making people too tired to get out of bed, to bath, cook, clean or partake in life. Wish you all the best.

Hey Aisha, Moving abroad is one of the ghettoest thing to do,it's feels like beginning all over.I was absolutely in a wreck few months ago when I moved abroad,I had to drag myself out to stop wallowing in self pity and take actions to better myself. It really gets better. Praying also helps a lot, increase tahajjud ,and remembrance of Allah.You will feel more at peace.I wish you the best .
