I emailed 4AD to ask them why this song has been taken down from everywhere online, except for this video it seems. Probably inevitable this will get taken down at some point, but nice to have it online somewhere for now other than p2p sites. Deerhunter's last release, I think? I wonder if it's been pulled over some rights issue, or if the band actually intended for it to disappear (why hasn't everything already disappeared?)
i think thr thing with this song is that it wasn't very well documented anyway because deerhunter (on the grand scheme of things) aren't that big, especially their newer stuff. i think its just a coincidence that this video is one of the last of this song, and i also dont think (at least i hope) they are actively going out of their way to delete this song everywhere, they just deleted the official videos of them which just so happened to be the only videos of them online. i really do hope that this song comes back to streaming services soon. also, did 4AD ever get back to you? im interested to see what they said
@@EMBERSAFTER They have not gotten back to me unsurprisingly, it was a shot in the dark, but you never know! I think it will have been taken down from streaming services either at the band/label's request, or against their wishes but over a rights issue. Just have to wonder which it is!
