Improved air flow over stock set up, this along with pipe and the rapidbike evo tuner just helps the bike breath better and gives better fueling and far smoother throttle response/power delivery than stock set up but its not cheap to do all 3, I wouldn't bother doing this unless you plan to do pipe and tuner/remap.

Apologies for late reply, my only advice would be to check see if its been done already, if not do a search for ducati recalls there is a site you can input your vin number that tells you if your bike had the recall done and the choke fitted, although some people that had the recall done still had issues so for me it was cheap insurance to buy a second hand set of coils and fit them and it removes the doubt that it could happen to your bike.

The beru coils? Yes but many people have still had issues even after getting their coils changed, not a chance I was willing to take for the small price of some 2nd hand Eldor coils, cheap insurance in my book to not have any issues later down the line.

Hi mate, are you on about the pinch bolts on the triple clamp? only bolts need removed are the pinch bolts on one side of the triple clamp and the 2 nuts that hold the ignition cover, both were simple to remove using allen keys and a socket, if you mean the large central silver nut then it doesn't have to be removed for the ducabike kit.

Hi mate sorry for late reply, do you mean bare as in actual copper cable showing? if yes then I would be taping it up as moisture will eventually work its way inside the cable and corrode it.

Hi Ismail, not sure the coil change will fix your backfire issue but it will give piece of mind that you won't suffer the christmas tree dash lights and fry your ECU, are you sure your T800 upmap is set up for slip on and not full system? Also when doing your coils fit new spark plugs also as this may help a little as these bikes are quite sensitive to fouled/dirty/old spark plugs.

What shock did you go for? have been looking at rear shocks but there not cheap, will be keeping an eye on the pages to see if a second hand one pops up for sale.

@@RudeboyMoto I went with EMC, it's a french one, great product for 660 euros.

Th same bracket that holds the rear foot pegs is also where the front pegs mount and also the swingarm pivot bolts, you can get rearsets that replace the whole assemblies on each side but there big bucks...

To be honest I don't know as have never worked on a 950, are you sure the stock coils on the 950 are the same as the stock coils on the 821? I know there Beru coils but do part numbers match up? I've never heard of anyone having an issue with the coils on a 950.

@@RudeboyMoto yes part numbers of OEM Beru ignition coils for Hyper 821 and 950 are the same

@@skarolis46 ok didnt realise that, they must have done something to rectify the issue then as the 950's have been out a good few years now and not seen any reports of it happening to them.

Well spotted, yes standard forks anodised and andreani cartridges, done a deal with a mate who was selling his bike, my standard forks plus cash for his anodised and andreani cartridges fitted forks.

No plans to remove it as of yet, if it starts causing problems then I'll take it off but so far bike is running great with it still on.

Hi, yes I do but its not edited yet, it will be a part of my handle bar swap video, check back in about a week and it should be live on the channel, although installation of the mirrors is very simple.

I didn't weigh them, a set of scales are on the to buy list for the workshop, to be honest I don't think the weight savings will be much as most of the parts didn't feel considerably lighter, next chain and sprocket change I'm going to do a 520 conversion with superlite sprockets that should see a decent weight saving, I'll be sure to get a set of scales and weigh everything when I do that.

I didn't disconnect the electrical cable from ECU, I disconnected the actual wire cable that pulls on the exhaust valve from the exhaust valve itself this way the ecu doesn't even know its disconnected so no CEL light.

I just took off my can and removed the flapper from the valve.. left the rest alone so the bike thinks its still there working..👍

Aye I hope so, spent a small fortune on her... will find out soon, off out for a blast in a couple hours.

Non so far, its a simple mod done by many on the hyper as well as other bikes and no reports of gearbox issues that I've heard of.

They are exactly the same, aprillia coils are made by Eldor and so are the 848 coils.

Chances are if your getting the Christmas tree lights on the dash then damage is already done, do a search for the Ducati recalls page and input your vin number and it will tell you if the recall was done on your bike, if not then get yourself to your nearest Ducati dealer as they e been pretty good at honouring the fix on a lot of bikes.

Yeah totally agree, most comfy Helmet I've had, far better than my shoei and even my old arai, fittings on mine are OK so far but not really used it in anger yet... Aye.. can't believe I done that either, muppet that I am...

If you watched the video you'd already know the answer, basically the stock coils are known to cause voltage spikes which can damage the dash and ECU.

Exactly mate, all the fancier places were fully booked for some reason, must have been something on in the area as it's not really a tourist destination, for the price we couldn't complain, it was clean, bed was comfy, cold air con and a hot shower along with a basic breakfast (coffee and toast) so it done the job and would stay there again if in the area.

Hi, I just searched eBay for Ducati 848 coils, the exact coils are Eldor coils and part numbers are shown in video.

I've seen this mentioned before somewhere but can't remember what the fix was, check out the hyperstrada forum linked in the description and also the ducati.ms forum as that's the only forums I use so must be on one of them, good luck and let me know what the issue/fix was when you get it sorted, cheers.

If the have the same connectors then they should work, as far as I'm aware any Eldor coils from Ducati bikes that use the 848 or 1098 engine should work.

Yeah it's only a couple hours ride from CM, lots of awesome roads and scenery all around the North I could spend weeks riding around North Thailand and never get bored.
