    That Bosch router and table kinda talked me out of buying anything from Bosch ever again. Most of it is the standard router base. It's terrible; the way it latches onto the router is such a problem.

    • @PetefromBaltimore
      @PetefromBaltimore 8 днів тому

      The Bosch Router Table is definitely not the right choice for a professional. It’s ok for the weekend hobbyist. You get what you pay for. The router has been fine for me other than the retaining clip on the height adjustment rod. Thanks for watching.

  • @Everyday_Railroading
    @Everyday_Railroading 10 днів тому

    So, the rod stays in the base it doesnt move up and down like yours to create that 3/4" gap to install the drill bit stop. Did they change the design or whats going on why the rod wont separate from the base?

    • @PetefromBaltimore
      @PetefromBaltimore 9 днів тому

      Hello. If the retaining clip is in place and holding… then the rod will not slip thru the base. That’s normal operation. It’s when the retaining clip fails that the rod no longer keeps its position and slides out from the base. Hope this makes sense. Thanks for watching

      Hi there! I’m using a 20 year old Grizzly dust collector. Its similar to this one that they currently sell. www.grizzly.com/products/grizzly-1-hp-light-duty-dust-collector-polar-bear-series/g1163p I use it for my Table Saw, Planer & Jointer. I connect it to each tool with a 10 foot hose with slip on connectors on each end. It does a good job. Thanks for watching!

    O'Skool's makes a router lift that fits the bosch tables you should contact them and see if they will send it to you. I want one but I wanted to see a review on it first and cant find any. I’m definitely a stay at home type person. However, when I went to Oahu in July, I was not in my room much. I was always out and about enjoying the scenery and amazing fresh air. I stayed in La’ie for a few days then in Waikiki for a few. I was in awe of the beautiful greenery! Of course that was because it was my first visit and I’ve spent my entire life living in the freaking ugly desert. Someday I’m leaving it behind to enjoy a naturally green environment

    • @PetefromBaltimore

      Why not flat? My guess is poor QC at factory. Note: The table is pretty flat immediately before and after the router bit opening… its at the edges of the table where its no longer flat. It hasn’t effected my routing tasks. Thanks for watching.

    You will need a new c-c;ip, you damaged it. Also, just take a Dremel tool and make the retaining groove deeper. It should fix that. For sure a problem with the router, Bosch should do better than that. I think I like your collar fix better though, simple. Great idea. Great video by the way. I'm selling my Festool CMS router table and buying this one. A major downgrade but I just don't need the Festool one anymore.
