Sears electric hitch conversion part 2

Electric 3pt hitch part 2 , with information on actuator and switch and where I got them, after welding on pc #1and # 2 , put a long 5/16 bolt in pc #5 center pc # 5 between pc # 3 and 4 , point bolt towards and touching under pc # 1 , this is where I weld on pc # 5 , this works great with all sears rear attachments , I left this out of my video

sears 3pt hydraulic hitch
Переглядів 19 тис.13 років тому
I like to make my tractor user friendly , not so much factory,so I changed it to a hydraulic 3 pt hitch . I have a 125 lb factory grading box , The hyraulics does this with little effort from me.

just up dating my former video of my loader
Pure genius...
I realize that this post is 4yo, but have you noticed how painfully slow these actuators when under load?
Brother where did you obtain the accuator?
Got st12 and st16
Yes would help me out
St12 and St16
How long are the lift arms
How long are the side links
Where'd you get the actuator and how much weight is it rated for?
Pozdravljeni kje bi kupil lahko tak celinder imate kakšen Link lp Ivan
I done mine like that love it
nice tractor, I'm actually in the market for one just so you know.
Has all of the plastic gears to wear out of your actuator yet
I’m going to do this to my ss12
You did call Dig Safe didn’t you?
I’d like to see how you mounted your hydraulic pump and what kind of pump you used
That’s what I would like to see.I’m wanting to do something seminar. I just need a idea on type pump
I own a 95 Craftsman 6000 GT Do you have plans that you can sell me to build this 3 point hitch. Brilliant job there...
👍
This was grate can one use 2 actuator rather then one...
What size and thickness square tube and gusset/bracket material did you use? Nice build! I'm planning to make one also from free material I've been able to source over the months.
What did you use for hydraulic resivoir for the loader and how much does it hold?
What kind of pump did you use
Damn nice, would like to see it in action.
Where’s the pump mounted and do you have a resivoir?
Incredible. Very nice. I was wondering how I could eliminate the rear blade not free floating when the front tires would bounce, and this is perfect. I was debating on using a winch to pull up the blade then having weights out on it for down force to have free floating as well. Think that would work?
Great design!!! My actuator must be a little different than the on you used. The push rod must be bigger on mine because it hit the bolt on the lift piece. I made piece 2 & 3, 1/2" longer and drilled the 3/8 hole 1/2" further out which gave me the clearance I needed. Haven't welded it up yet, but its coming along really well. Thanks for the measurements and design.
Lol.... love the catipeller Photo bombing tward the end... LOL
Excelent
EXCELENT JOB. Just acquired a '80 GTV16. Had a switch and fuse block but no actuator, just the manual deck lift. You did a great job and your instructions were clear and to the point. Volume was great too. Thanks again. 68 here
Nice job! I prefer the PK loader, it is a super well made unit and I use mine a lot. I bought the backhoe plans, might build one, not sure. Love to see that in action, please post an update if you haven't already. And I like the paint scheme. Father was a PK dealer for years so I prefer the original paint however the red/white really sets the old girl off!
I just finished fixing up my '65 Sears with a Predator engine. I really like how you convert to the DC actuators. I'm going to have to do that. I may have to try and build a front loader and backhoe as well.
This was really nice of you to make this for everyone. I will definitly be making this for my sears st/16. Thank you!
Hey I see the stroke is close to 4inches but what is thr actual length of actuator before the extending itself?
Cool
Thank for taking the time to post this. Nice work.
Thanks , check out part 2 as well , thanks again
This thing is amazing did you make it?
Yes I made it , took a lot of time and even more $$$$ , Thanks for watching
you would be surprised how well people treat you knowing you can dig a 6 ft deep hole
hey there friend are you selling the blue print to do the electric lift? if so how much wish you were closer to me we dont have that much snow thanks for what you did will be a grate help
all the info I can give and that is needed to make it has been giving on video and its free , Thanks for watching , had a lot of viewers asking for spec's so I made a video for anyone interested in make one for their self , Thanks again
@@gjamesdeen Nice, thanks.
If you ever decide to make a kit (of the pieces needed to do this) and sell them lmk please. I'd be interested in doing it to mine. I already have a 6" actuator on hand new in box
I will have to think about it , as stated in video this requires a 4 in stoke , 6 in will have to much stroke , shipping will be high because of the weight of steel , Thanks for watching
Awesome job.
thanks
How does it steer with 300 lbs???
a little stiff , had to use 4 ply trailer tires on front ,
can you not say numbers? "relatively inexpensive"? come on
I have a total cost of $119 , cant get much cheaper than that
I have a1976 Suburban w/ several attachments, would like to add that box blade to mine, is that hand built?
My Suburban has a snow plow and a 454 big block
this is a factory attachment , only one I have found , thanks for watching
@@gjamesdeen Very interesting. Seems more practical and simple than most similar ones I've seen, yet does the job well.
Can you send plans and measurements of the complete hitch ?? Thank You ..It is very nicely done
I have specs on my you tube check it out
Could you please post the Manufacturer/Distributer information for BOTH the Electric Actuator AND the Switch please. Plus include the Specifications for the Actuator. I've been tossing around a couple HOME MAKE Sleeve Hitch/3-Point Hitch attatchments for my 1987 Craftsman GT6000 to make my Yard work & Driveway Maintenance Easyer. The Actuator I currently have, is the Original, and can't lift more that 200lbs... Many Thanks for your sharing, -Thomas Skagen Port Orchard, Washington State
I have all specs on my you tube check them out
This is awesome do you have drawings for this. Just what I've been looking for for years.
I have plans on you tube which also includes actuator and switch , check it out
A sears lawn tractor brought back from the dead. Sears itself though is on it's deathbed!
would anybody know the part number for that adjustable center link ?
I get mine at tractor supply $35 cat 0 ask for the short one , they have a long and short cat 0
What pump did you use?
have no info sorry , just used what I had on hand , thanks for watching
How much weight can it lift?
around 250 lbs , thanks for watching
Would like to know how to contact you for plans for that 3pt. Thanks.
I posted my plans on my you tube , check it out
I know this video is old, but more the reason to ask how they held up. It looks like the only weak link would be the cable clamps. Seems like after a while they would slide out a bit. I'd love to know how they held up.
used this set for around 12 yrs , the key is to tighten all claps using a vise , chains are hardened chain , thanks for watching
