We are a small homestead carving a new life out of raw, undeveloped land. Aside from building our home, clearing land, building pens, raising chickens, guinea fowl, dogs, cats, mules, a couple of rabbits, we also are avid Jeepers. We all own a Jeep or two, and my two youngest sons have started rallycross racing so we are building their cars as well.
As you can see, we are not your typical "homesteading" channel. We do a little of everything here. Afterall, that's the essence of homesteading; self-sufficiency. So we hope you join us on our journey. We're sure to do something that interests you.

TJ Rebuild: Step 3

We take rough measurements of the frame to get a better idea on whether this frame is usable or not. Before anyone says anything, I know... The entire drive train should be removed, the frame should be completely level, setting on a level surface when taking these measurements. However, if any of these are way off, there's no need to spend the time to remove the drive train as all would be scra...

This weekend, while the boys are on a cruise with their mother, I remove all the parts and pieces that might be reusable from Beau's El Diablo TJ. Once all the parts, wiring, bolts, and bits are removed, I flip the tub off the frame and get ready for the next step: stripping the chassis. I hope you enjoy, and please feel free to leave a comment, like, and share. Have a great day. #Jeep #tj #tub...

Chores in shorts in late December!
@junodacres I'm good in shorts below freezing if there's no wind. HOWEVER... It could be 70+ with a good wind and i freeze.
Do you ride them r are they just hay- burners? Lol
@susanfrens8837 thank you for taking the time to comment. As of right not, they are pasture pets. We rescued both of them from the kill pens a little over a year ago. They had gone through 8 sales in under two weeks. Doc is extremely gentle, but Jenny is a but skittish. We were told they were broke to ride and drive, but that doesn't seem to be the case. They have only been with us a few months now, because of quarantine regulations and we needed to clear their paddock and build a fence. They are now halter broke and Doc leads well. Jenny, not so much. But we will continue to try to gain her trust and hopefully have then both broke to ride soon.
I've heard Coop's ha great food also?
@@susanfrens8837 Coop's has some mighty mean chicken strips, and their breakfast sam'iches ain't bad either.
sounds like you're going to have a busy year
@junodacres just trying to finish up on a lot of projects that should have been done long ago.
Hello yalll. Thank you 😂😂😂
@tonyamarshall997 thank you. We were just doing what anyone would do.
THANK YOU!
@marywest4174 Awww schucks. T'wernt nothin
Hello from Kansas… Flint Junod’s mom
@barbaltman6198 good evening.
I can't wait to see the tree and get a hot drink!
Someone buy this poor guy a drill. Bless his heart. #blackndecker
Where will they get for the winter ❄️❄️🥶🥶?
I apologize for the late response. we had a busy weekend and I am just now seeing this. we will be constructing a temporary shelter for Doc and Jenny, but we cannot afford to build their permanent barn at this time. Thank you for your question and your concerns. Have a great week.
It's a Jeep Truck. Not sure why that is so hard to comprehend!
Jeep guy here i say a gladiator is a wrangler with a truck bed and i see it has a truck
@xxshooterxxdm same here. Is it a "full size" truck? No. It's a 1/4 ton pickup that is perfectly capable of doing 1/4 ton pickup stiff, and it's just as capable as any other Jeep with the exception of its departure angle. But as we use it on our farm and not for rock crawling, it checks every box we have.
Love watching yall garden
Thank you. We are currently working on our raised bed garden area. The heat and lack of rain really did a number on our container plantings.
@@Canfield_Corner i bet, im sorry yall had to go through that
@@Dmoney4183 Again, thank you. it's just a part of living through 100-110 degree summers.
@Canfield_Corner yes summers were fun as kids but now, i can't wait for fall
Hey Ray-Dean, I'm currently banned from FB, I hope to be back on later this week. I'm placing my order to support y'all!!
@timwylie765 sorry to hear about being banned, but thank you so much for your order Tim. We hope you enjoy.
@Canfield_Corner You're welcome, Brother!
Such a good boy, 😅
Lmao 🤣 👊🏽
Beautiful. Well fed and happy.
Thank you. It's been a long road from when we rescued them from the kill pen, and we have a long way still yet to go.
So glad I got this pointless fuckn short on my feed… not
You're welcome. Have a nice day.

Where is the party favors🤷
It's not that kind of party
Your progess is amazing and it really looks phenomenal!
Thank you. I know it's not very "entertaining" or "informational" right now, but we have to get everything cleared so we can start building the barn and get Doc and Jenny to the homestead.
Im not bored. But then again im 70 and like watching others work as hard as i did.
Thank you very much. I'm 50 and making progress as fast as I can with a full-time job, the weather, and hand tools.
Love them so beautiful ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you. They are both dirty again from rolling, but I agree; they are beautiful

Literally looks like a litter of double merles wtf are you doing??? smh 💀💀💀
Honestly? Not spaying and neutering our animals soon enough. This was not planned.
They love us we love them, regardless, of who we are
I don’t really understand. Are we supposed to feel their shit and pissing on over everything I don’t get it. Oh, we love the animals they stink.
That is a lot of puppies!
8 pups to be exact
Everyone loves puppies
Congratulations to the two of you!
Thank you Tony

Thank you.
Congratulations you two! ❤️😊
Thank you so much
Everybody just might as well stay home if there's 1/8" of ice or more, I agree with you there. But can you believe many truckers are under pressure from their bosses to drive in any type of weather to make their deliveries on time? Icy conditions just don't seem to matter to many bosses. Those bosses may feel differently if they, themselves had to be out in their trucks driving in ice and snow.
Lmao😂😂😂😂😂 well go to. Northern Michigan now that's snow
I agree. 🤣🤣

why didnt you show how on earth you got a wrench to go on the bolt becasue the motor mount is in the way. IO am trying to see if there is a way to loosen that bolt with removing the motor mount.
I'm not sure what you're asking. The motor mount on the 2.5 four cylinder isn't in the way.
I have a 1993 wrangler 2.5 I cannot get a wrench on it good enough due to the motor mount in the way it causes the wrench to go at an angle that you cant get a box end on it all the way.@@Canfield_Corner
@chumbucket1313 there is the difference. Your '93 is a YJ where my son's '98 is a TJ. For his application, there is not a problem. I have only had one YJ with a 2.5 and that was back in '95 when it was new. I'm apologize for the misunderstanding.
Ahh ok thanks for the response. I am hoping to find a way to loosen that distributor bolt without removing the motor mount.@@Canfield_Corner
@chumbucket1313 I am a service writer at a Jeep dealership, so I looked up the removal procedure on your '93, but it just says "remove the hold down bolt." Nothing about interference from the motor mount.
Yall are gonna be loaded once all that is ready!
Hell yeah man good work! 👍
Thank you do much.
@darkfarfetch3664 being that UPS and FedEx don't deliver to our cabin, no its not rated for them. However the two ton lumber delivery truck made it just fine fully loaded, as do our daily drivers.
Some people just don't pay attention.
Very true
If you don't understand, it was once the custom to place a coin under the mast when stepping it. It was meant to bring good luck.
Exactly. This is all explained in an upcoming video.
Yep !! But you sure love the clouds on a Steamy hot day :-)
To an extent, although when it's steamy hot here, it's usually on clear skies and little to no breeze.
Nice work
Thank you
