Best way to use the Saie superglow that I have found is as a highlighter. Either before or after powder I found that it doesn't lift my makeup up and leaves a beautiful wet look; I pump a little bit into my hand and use the elf putty blush brush for it lol My guess is any precise brush would work. I have tried it with a sponge but it soaks up all the product. As a primer I don't like it at all, I find that my makeup slips off my face and I also dislike the scent of it. Rare beauty's illuminating primer is much better for that purpose

I have ColourPop at my local target and I got the supershock highlighter too. I love how it's shimmery but doesn't have large obvious glitter particles which is a hard to find with most highlighters, and it's very buildable too. Tho my issue is I like to blend my concealer and powder to my inner corners but when I put the highlighter on top it kinda lifts the concealer and powder and looks patchy :c idk how to prevent this since I want a versatile highlight that I can use on my eyes and the rest of my face too, but I can kinda make it work if I'm careful.

also, I use saie supergel as a highlighter. It is perfect when used as a liquid highlighter and applied where you'd usually apply highlighter

It feels sooo refreshing watching your video. I used to be a make up collector until I started struggling with my bills. That's when I realized how unnecessary all of that was. A lot of things I threw away, because I never really used them, but they were too old to give them away. Now I'm all about emptying things and buying drugstore products on the cheaper side. It's an easier life.

Oh one more thing: the blushes you said almost don't show up on your face might have an use case lol! They could be good transition shades for the more pigmented blushes, or any blush that deviates a bit from your skin undertone. I've found that actually helps me spend less time blending, and in turn, not have to worry as much about tapping off my foundation in the process

In the end we gotta have a few products for each function unless we're willing to compromise the finish, variety, our expensive products, our time etc. so it's a bit of a journey, right? I hope you have a pleasant one and congrats for keeping at it and for your collection. If you really want to wear that lighter Shiseido foundation some time soon, I suppose you could try mixing it with darker products on the back of your hand

The rare beauty blush is great as one dot and then blended out with a damp beauty blender/ real techniques sponge. Use the the Nars Orgasm with the brush because brush = higher coverage .

By the way, your car remote is also a key - if you slide and hold that tiny grooved toggle on the back while pulling up on the silver part with the loop connected to your keychain, your emergency backup key will come out. Most key fobs have some type of backup feature like this so you can still get into your car if the remote part fails to work. Also, if your car is a push button start or has push button locks and your remote is dead or won’t let you in the car or let you start it, you can usually hold the fob against the push buttons for 3-5 seconds and then try again and they should work. But definitely make sure you change the remote battery not long after. I hope that info is helpful. Love the cute little Clinique and Kuromi pouches. They coordinate nicely with your purse color. If you wear more eyeshadow colours, I recommend Chanel mono or quads. Great investment, good quality, have mirror and goes well in purse. The quantity is enough to justify the price, and at the same time likely to pan while it's still on date

Makeup, particularly, is getting absurdly expensive

If I happen to not like a moisturizer I use it on my neck and collarbone. I always moisturize my neck too anyway so I still can get the benefits without the uncomfortable sticky feeling. It does not feel like cheating because I don't like wasting my fancy creams on the neck area.

how do you prevent your brushes from getting dusty?

My minimal makeup collection for years been just mascara and under eye concealer. And lip balm for cold time of the year, but I think its rather skin care than makeup. ;P

Honestly this is my dream collection. I have hoarded so much makeup because I love it so much but I always watch these videos and think how stress free it is to just have what you need and actually get to use it all. I know the amount I have is so wasteful and in a way it stresses me out lol

A little tip for the rare beauty blush; put only one dot on each cheek and blend well, that is usually enough😊 and if you want more u just add another dot, but yeah i also have it (the mini) and it literally NEVER run out when you just put one dot and you don’t waste your product

I personally don’t think this is minimal and you are holding onto products that you don’t love which is not a minimalist mentality but it’s definitely a process as it took me years to declutter and condense to the essentials. I usually offer to give good stuff away to my mum / sister / niece as not to throw things away. A drop of lemon essential oil will melt sticky residue straight off 😊

Also just started my project pan last month on the 22nd and I am glad I did because I made great progress on some products I haven't touched in a long time. It's never too late if you have the motivation to start something :) looking forward to your updates. P.s. little tip to use the darker eyeshadows.. I use them to sketch my eyeliner before going in with the liquid one, makes it more long lasting and I have an easier time matching the line on both eyes.

After finding my “look” which is mostly just the no makeup (makeup) look, I am now widdling the excess down to what works for me. I had gone overboard, mainly because I truly didn’t know what would actually work for me. It’s a process to find one’s “Goldilocks zone”, I look at like an education. Sometimes things need to be tried before you know, but now I want to reduce the decision fatigue and have purposeful items to choose from. I’m still working on it!!
